A frame for fixation of equipment to the head of a patient during neurological diagnosis, therapy or surgery is adapted to enclose the head of the patient. The frame includes a number of mounting slots arranged in the frame. The mounting slots are adapted to receive a number of fixation pins adapted to fixate the frame to a bone in the head. The frame further includes two anterior longitudinal posts and two posterior longitudinal posts, extending along a longitudinal axis A, an anterior portion, adapted to be arranged at the anterior side of the head, the anterior portion interconnecting the two anterior longitudinal posts, and a posterior portion, adapted to be arranged at the posterior side of the head, the posterior portion interconnecting the two posterior longitudinal posts. The anterior longitudinal posts and the posterior longitudinal posts are interconnected with two lateral portions, adapted to extend one on each side of the head, and wherein the lateral portions are axially offset, along the longitudinal axis A, with respect to the anterior and posterior portion. A stereotactic frame system includes such a frame.

A radiation therapy device and a method of changing the spatial dose distribution surrounding a focus are disclosed. A subset of radioactive sources in a source carrier arrangement is displaceable relatively to collimator passage inlets, while the rest of the sources are fixed relatively to said collimator passage inlets.

An anesthetic vaporizer has a receiving part devised for connection to a collar-equipped bottle, the receiving part having a locking device for locking/unlocking the bottle. Improved connection is achieved by providing the receiving part with a tubular section with a tube wall and an internal cavity, with a through opening arranged in the tube wall enabling the bottle's collar to move past the opening when the bottle is attached to the receiving part. The opening extends down at an angle to the center line of the tubular section, and the locking device has a resilient locking element partially arranged in the opening. The resilient locking element is devised to assume, in a passive state, a first position inside the internal cavity preventing the unimpeded passage of the bottle's collar and, when acted upon, to move downwards-outwards in the opening to a second position in the cavity allowing the unimpeded passage of the bottle's collar, and an opening arrangement is disposed, when actuated, to act on the resilient locking element.

Anesthetic gas vaporizer with a connection arrangement for a collar-equipped gas bottle

A vaporizer for vaporizing liquid anesthetic has a chamber for liquid anesthetic, a gas flow passage, a throttle in the gas flow passage, a first connection between the chamber and the gas flow passage upstream from the throttle and a second connection between the chamber and the gas flow passage downstream from the throttle. The vaporizer is more accurate and usable with different liquid anesthetics by having an outlet valve arranged by an outlet in the vaporizer, this outlet valve being regulated by the pressure upstream from the throttle.
