A shaver head for an electric shaver has at least two hair-cutting units, each of which includes an external cutting member and an internal cutting member that is rotatable relative to the external cutting member. Each of the hair-cutting units is supported by a supporting portion that is linearly movable under the bias of a spring member relative to a base portion of the shaver head between a first, retracted position and a second, extended position. The shaver head has a locking mechanism for selectively locking the supporting portion in a locked position relative to the base portion allowing a user to select different shaving modes.

The invention relates to a thermal skin treatment device comprising a skin contact component with a skin contact surface; a thermal energy component in thermal contact with the skin contact component; a temperature control circuit electrically connected to the thermal energy component and comprising a user interface; and an energy source electrically connected to said thermal energy component for energy supply. Said temperature control circuit is adapted to control an amount of energy supplied from said energy source to said thermal energy component such that a first predetermined temperature is maintained at the skin contact surface for a first duration, or a second predetermined temperature is maintained at the skin contact surface for a second duration, wherein said first predetermined temperature is in a range of 40&#xb0; C.+/&#x2212;2&#xb0; C., and wherein said second predetermined temperature is in a range of 19&#xb0; C.+/&#x2212;2&#xb0; C. The temperature control circuit is adapted to maintain for a predetermined duration, during operation, only said first predetermined temperature or said second predetermined temperature at the skin contact surface. The invention further relates to a method for non-therapeutic treatment of a human eye region by means of a thermal skin treatment device according to the invention.

A hair cutting appliance comprises an external cutting member and an internal cutting member arranged rotatable to the external cutting member for cutting hair. The internal cutting member is driven via a first coupling element by a drive spindle () rotatable about an axis of rotation () and having a first spindle part () arranged to be driven by a drive, and a second spindle part () arranged to be coupled to the internal cutting member, the first and second spindle parts () being displaceable relative to each other in an axial direction parallel to the axis of rotation (); wherein the second spindle part () comprises a second coupling element () which is coupled to the first coupling element for transmitting, during operation, a driving torque about the axis of rotation () from the drive spindle () to the internal cutting member; wherein one of the first and second spindle parts () comprises an abutment element () and the other of the first and second spindle parts () comprises an abutment surface () arranged to cooperate with the abutment element () for transmitting, during operation, the driving torque from the first spindle part () to the second spindle part (); wherein the abutment surface () is arranged at an angle &#x3b1; relative to a tangential direction relative to the axis of rotation (), wherein 0&#xb0;&#x3c;&#x3b1;&#x3c;90&#xb0; such that a transmission of the driving torque from the first spindle part () to the second spindle part () via the abutment element () and the abutment surface () results in a force exerted by the first spindle part () on the second spindle part () having a component parallel to the axis of rotation () and directed towards the internal cutting member, wherein the first and second coupling elements are configured to transmit the component from the second spindle part () to the second coupling element ().
