A control system for driving a power tool is provided comprising a power source, a motor adapted to drive a shaft, a power switching unit interconnecting the power source and the motor, and a controller. The power switching unit applying a pulse width modulated (PWM) drive signal from the power source to the motor. The controller monitoring at least one electrical characteristic of at least one of the power source, motor and power switching unit and adjusting the operating duty cycle of the PWM drive signal based on the electrical characteristics.

An air flow detecting system is provided for monitoring air flow in a dryer system. The dryer system has an exhaust passage through which air from a drying compartment flows. The air flow detecting system includes a detector for monitoring a rate at which air from the drying compartment travels through the exhaust passage, and a signal generator. The signal generator is responsive to the detector and generates an electrical signal for which at least one of phase, frequency, voltage, or current varies over a continuous range based on a measured flow rate.

Dryer airflow sensor

A method and apparatus for adjusting the coupling reactances between twisted pairs contained within a data communications cable is disclosed. An isolation element is used to isolate one or more twisted pairs of wires from the other twisted pairs of wires contained within the data communications cable. The isolation element may be constructed of dielectric, conductive, or ferromagnetic materials or a combination thereof. It may also include various shapes, patterns, and/or windows for creating a specified level of crosstalk among the twisted pairs contained within the cable.

A high performance modular connector system includes a plug and a jack both arranged for high frequency data transmission. The plug is constructed for coupling in a mating arrangement with the jack both including a plurality of contacts arranged to provide conductive paths for carrying a high-frequency data signal. The connector system includes several counter-coupling or compensation structures, each having a specific function in cross-talk reduction. The compensation structures are designed to offset and thus electrically balance frequency-dependent capacitive and inductive coupling. One important type of the compensation structure is located near contact points forming the conductive paths between connector terminals of the jack and connector terminals of the plug. This compensation structure is conductively connected to at least some of the contacts and is located outside the conductive path carrying the high-frequency data signal. This compensation structure may be connected to contacts of the jack or contacts of the plug.

Modular connectors with compensation structures

A fixture is provided adjacent to a cable containing multiple twisted pairs. The fixture includes longitudinal channels for controlling the trajectory of the wire pairs after the twisted pairs have been exited the cable and have been detwisted. The fixture maintains the wire pairs in an orientation beneficial for reducing crosstalk.
