An access door which opens and closes an opening that extends through a surface by which access is provided through the surface as, for example, to communication and power outlets, wires, cables, cable raceways, switches and the like behind the surface.

A modular office partition that can be joined together to form dividing wall structures in which the partition has a skeleton frame with opposed faces covered by a plurality of covers with each cover being removably coupled to the frame in either a remote position or in a proximate position such that the partition will have a first width when the covers are connected to the frame in the proximate position and a second width greater than the first width when the covers are connected to the frame in the remote position. Preferably, the covers are removably mounted to the frame via cover retaining clips with the clips being removable from the frame and the clips being provided as wider and narrower clips so as to mount each cover in either the remote position or the proximate position.

Variable width module office furniture partition

A partition with a frame having two vertical end post members spanned by beam members with each end post member having an internally directed longitudinal slotway open towards the other end post member and within which the ends of the beam members are received and, preferably, with the end post members having a front to back width greater than the front to back width of the beam members such that vertical raceways are defined between the post members outward of the beam members and inward of removable cladding panels coupled to each front and back of the frame outward of the post members. Preferably, channelways through each post member, preferably at the upper and/or lower ends of each post member, provide for access to the vertical raceways via horizontal raceways extending between the posts above and below each beam.

An external locking mechanism for a filing cabinet incorporating two hinged blocking plates at each side of the cabinet and a locking bar which is movable without removal from attachment to the cabinet to positions such that the blocking plates can be selectively prevented from being moved to unblocked positions or permitted to be moved to unblocked positions.

A stacked cabinet structure for vertical stacking of a lower cabinet with a top wall and an upper cabinet with a bottom wall in which a spacer member is provided intermediate the top wall of the lower cabinet and the bottom wall of the upper cabinet with the spacer member supported by the top wall of the lower cabinet and supporting the bottom wall of the upper cabinet forming a horizontally extending raceway vertically between the top wall of the lower cabinet and the bottom wall of the upper cabinet for passage of utility wiring. The raceway preferably is open at least at a front access opening preferably with uninterrupted access provided to the raceway inwardly from the front access opening through the entire width of each cabinet from a first side to a second side.

A decorative lighting arrangement includes a support, especially a stake driven into the ground, and a lighting fixture including a socket and a light bulb mounted in the socket. A coupling connects the lighting fixture to the support so that the light bulb and at least a predominant portion of the socket are disposed upwardly of an upper region of the support to be visible thereat.

Multipurpose coupling for connecting decorations to a stake

An arrangement for mounting decorative lights on a variety of external building structures, including roof shingles, soffits, vinyl or metal gutters or the like, includes a mounting member having a support portion including at least one substantially cylindrical confining portion for receiving a portion of the respective decorative light. The mounting member further includes a mounting portion including a central portion extending substantially along the same plane as the support portion, and a pair of angled lateral portions flanking the central portion and extending out of the plane and back to it as considered in a direction away from the support portion. The central portion and the pair of lateral portions are operative for engaging oppositely facing surfaces of the respective building structure to at least frictionally detain the mounting member and, thus, the decorative light in place on the building structure. The lateral portions may be provided with teeth that either dig into the roof shingle or soffit, or engage behind a ledge or a rear protuberance of a gutter, depending on the type of structure on which the mounting arrangement is mounted. The central portion may include a serrated detent that projects out of the plane of the central portion towards the support portion and into engagement with either the roof shingle, or a front protuberance of a metal gutter.

Universal decoration mounting arrangement

A miniature light fixture includes a miniature light bulb, an elongated folding element having a recess that receives a base portion of the light, and a socket bounding an internal passage for partially receiving the holding element in an assembled condition of the fixture. At least one hook-shaped projection to be used to effect extraction of the holding element out of the passage of the socket extends axially beyond an end portion of the holding element that is situated outside the passage in the assembled condition and includes an outwardly extending engageable nose on its free end. At least one protuberance and at least one associated depression are disposed on respective zones of the holding element and of a circumferential wall of the socket that are juxtaposed with one another in the assembled condition in which the depression receives the protuberance. The circumferential wall has at least one pair of open-ended slots flanking its respective zone and circumferentially separating the same from the remainder of the circumferential wall to enable such zone to flex without impedance from circumferentially adjacent regions of the circumferential wall. The protuberance has a wedge-shaped configuration in that it is outwardly delimited by an axially sloping ramp surface.

Miniature light fixture

An arrangement for mounting decorative items on cylindrical supports available at the premises to be decorated includes an elongated strap that is flexible for winding around the respective cylindrical support, and a fixture secured to one end of the strap and carrying a hook-shaped formation for suspending the decorative item therefrom. The strap has a series of ratchet-type teeth on one of its major surfaces, and the fixture has an aperture for the passage of the strap therethrough after having been wound around the cylindrical support. The fixture also includes a pawl-type holding member mounted thereon for pivoting between an engaging position in which it engages at the aperture behind one of the teeth of the strap, and a releasing position in which it frees the strap for unimpeded passage through the aperture.
