Method for obtaining the foamed organosilicon compositions, involving mixing of organosiloxane rubber (OR), organosilicon joining agent (JA) and modifier (M). Agents acting like (OR) are represented by polyorganosiloxane block-copolymers having formula as follows: &lcub;&lsqb;R,SiO,&rsqb;,&lsqb;R,(OH)SiO&rsqb;,, &lsqb;R,R,SiO&rsqb;,&rcub;,, where: R,R,R,R,are aliphatic, aromatic radicals having from 1 to 6 atoms carbon; n is an integer from 30 to 360; c&equals;1; a is selected from the 0.019-3.760 interval; b is selected from the 0.008-0.240 interval; or the mixture of the above block-copolymer with the &ldquo;&agr;&rdquo;, &ldquo;&ohgr;&rdquo;-dihydroxypolydiorganosiloxane in the ratio of (0.05-0.5):1, respectively; while the individual compositions or mixtures of polyorganohydridesiloxanes act as (JA), having general formula as follows: R,SiO&lsqb;R,(H)SiO&rsqb;,&mdash;&lsqb;R,SiO&rsqb;,SiR,, or at least one substance from the compositions having general formula as follows: RSiX,, where: R&equals;alkyl radical having from 1 to 6 atoms carbon, CH,&boxH;CH&mdash;, X:&mdash;ON&boxH;C(CH,),, &mdash;OC(O)&mdash;CH,, and amines are used as (M), having general formula as follows: R,R,N&mdash;(CH,),&mdash;Si(OR,),, or the mixture of sodium bicarbonate with zinc oxide, or non-organic compound of cobalt with 34% cobalt content, with the proviso of mass fraction ratio of (OR) mixed components as follows: (OR)&equals;100; (JA)&equals;from 2 to 15; (M)&equals;from 2 to 22.

Method for obtaining foamed organosilicon compositions

A polymer sorbent for the extraction of Mo-99 from the fission byproducts of a uranyl sulfate nuclear-fueled homogeneous-solution nuclear reactor and the method of producing the sorbent are described. This sorbent is produced from a maleic anhydride copolymer and .alpha.-benzoin-oxime. The sorbent is produced by reacting a mixture of maleic anhydride copolymer, a bifunctional organic compound (hydrochinon, diethyleneglycol, hexamethylene diamine, glycerol, ethyleneglycol), and .alpha.-benzoin-oxime in the ratio of 1:(0.25-0.50):(0.75-0.5) in a polar organic solvent (dioxane, dimethyl formamide, or toluene) in the temperature range of 90.degree.-95.degree. C. with constant stirring for 1 to 2 hours. The resultant product is then cooled to room temperature and flushed 3-5 times with cold water. A white stringy product results. This is dried and crushed. Particles of 1-2 mm in diameter are selected for the solid sorbent.

Solid polymer sorbent for MO-99 extraction and its method of production

The current invention involves a means for the production and extraction of the isotope molybdenum-99 for medical purposes in a waste free, simple, and economical process. Mo-99 is generated in the uranyl sulphate nuclear fuel of a homogeneous solution nuclear reactor and extracted from the fuel by a solid polymer sorbent with a greater than 90% purity. The sorbent is composed of a composite ether of a maleic anhydride copolymer and .alpha.-benzoin-oxime.
