A radar signal processing system utilizing a specialized neural network generative topographic mapping method which employs an alternative method for characterizing multiple radar signatures wherein specialized phased-codes and wavelet waveform modulations are used. The invention comprises three layers each including a plurality of nodes: input layer, mapping layer, and output presentation layer. The input layer takes the collected signals and congregates them into groups of linear data points. The mapping layer provides a method for projecting the data into points of lower dimensions. The data is assumed to arise by first probabilistically picking a point in a low-dimensional space, mapping the point to be observed in high-dimensional input space, then adding noise. The result is a system in which radar data with multiple reflections in close proximity is manipulated into multiple signatures in systematic ways for use in downhole structure signatures.

Radar signal processing system and method for analyzing downhole oil and gas well environments

The present invention is a method embodied in a deferred-synchronous messaging software for providing deferred-synchronous messaging capability for applications in a non-threading model. In essence, it enables asynchronous behavior to be executed in parallel within a single-threaded environment, without need of either an operating system or programming environment supporting threads in order to perform multiple synchronous calls in different processes. As a result, applications are able to perform simultaneous multiple synchronous calls without spawning multiple processes. The present invention provides a model to allow applications to enhance their business processes without using inter-process communications. Thus, it allows simultaneous multiple business synchronous processing without complex inter-process communication logic.

Deferred-Synchronous messaging software in a non-threaded environment

The invention comprises methods and apparatus for implementing a trader service. The present invention involves creating a trader service, preferably compliant with the CORBA CosTrader Specification, where the trader service is arranged to store persistent information using a directory service. This aspect involves creating a storage mechanism comprising a directory service, preferably a directory service compliant with LDAP version 2, which is arranged to store the persistent information for the trader service. An additional embodiment may be implemented by creating a data store interface for interacting with the directory service, wherein such interaction comprises the use of protocol compliant with LDAP version 2.

Method and apparatus for implementing persistence in trader services associated with a computer system

The present invention, sometimes referred to as an Application Message Wrapper Generation Wizard or Wizard (for short), is a tool to help application developers map Cobol or Natural copybooks into a message command for an ASCII-based text messaging service. In this sense, the Wizard facilitates communication between client applications and server applications by allowing the client to use generic requests and allowing the Wizard generated files providing the correct protocol and syntax for communication with the destination server application. The Wizard generates Java classes that will mine/plant data a runtime between business objects and a message string that corresponds to the copybook's data structure, and vice versa. The Wizard recognizes different data types of copybook fields respectively, and converts them to/from ASCII. The Java classes generated by the Wizard also serve to abstract mainframe services so as to encapsulate ASCI text messaging system calls from the business layer by treating mainframe services as an ordinary operation on an object and so as to act as a layer than can serve to pave a path for migrating services away from a legacy environment. The generated Java code ensures efficient runtime performance for mining/plating of data. The present invention relates to the Wizard itself, the method of using it, the software system using the files generated by the Wizard and the method of using the generated software system.

COBOL/natural copybook to Java conversion Wizard

The invention comprises methods and apparatus for implementing a name service. In the present invention, a name service compliant with the CORBA CosNaming specification may be implemented which incorporates load balancing. This invention involves a name service having a data store and a data store interface which are not necessarily configured for the persistent storage of information. This invention further involves creating a load balancing index within the data store interface and using name-overloading to create names containing a load balancing name identifier which may be used for referencing in the load balancing index. The data store interface of this embodiment could also include a specific bind operation, a specific resolve operation, or both.
