A selectively connectable driveline system including a first rotatable shaft extended along a lateral direction, a second rotatable shaft extended along the lateral direction separable along the lateral direction from the first rotatable shaft, and a coupling assembly moveable along the lateral direction. The coupling assembly is connected to the first rotatable shaft and is further selectively connectable to the second rotatable shaft.

Driveline engagement system

A gearbox comprising a main unit comprising a first casing and a first hollow shaft, and a secondary unit comprising a second casing and a second hollow shaft, and a drive shaft comprising a first clutch portion and a second clutch portion, which engage the first and second hollow shafts in an angularly fixed and axially sliding manner. The gearbox further including an axial retaining device comprising an axial shoulder supported in a fixed potion by an axial end on one of the first or second hollow shafts, and an external radial projection arranged in an intermediate position, and an external radial projection arranged in an intermediate position along the drive shaft between the first and second clutch portions.

An axially hyperstatic system softener for a transmission comprising a static component and a rotatable component mounted to each other by a double ball bearing having an outer race and an inner race includes first and second biasing elements in a rigid sleeve with the outer race disposed between the first and second biasing elements. The rotatable component includes two shafts splined together with the static component mounted to one of the shafts by the bearing double ball bearing. A shim between one of the biasing elements and the sleeve enables tuning the softener.

Axially hyperstatic system softener

A gearbox has a main unit and a secondary unit provided with respective casings of respective gear transmissions and with respective hollow shafts connected by means of a drive shaft; the secondary unit transfers motion between two axes forming an angle of less than 180&#xb0; and which can be removed after having released the drive shaft; the drive shaft is engaged in an angularly fixed and axially sliding manner to the hollow shafts and is axially locked, at least in one direction, by means of an axial retaining device, which is releasable; the axial retaining device is coupled to one of the hollow shafts, at an axial end which is facing towards the other of the hollow shafts; at least one opening may be formed between the two casings, so as to access such an axial end and release the axial retaining device.

An aircraft power generating assembly having a mechanical gear transmission, and an electric machine integrated in the mechanical transmission; the electric machine having a stator connected directly to a fixed frame of the mechanical transmission, and a rotor surrounding and rotated by a rotary shaft of the mechanical transmission; and the opposite ends of the rotary shaft being connected to respective further rotary input/output shafts.

Epicyclical gearing comprising a first and a second gear wheel turning around respective mutually parallel axes, each one comprising a respective first and a respective second crown wheel that are adjacent to each other; the gearing also comprising at least one third and at least one fourth gear wheel that are separate and mutually independent, a support body for the third and fourth gear wheels, the support body having hinge pins formed therewith as a one piece structure, the hinge pins providing a mount for the third and fourth gear wheels on the support body in a rotational manner around a third and, respectively, a fourth hinge axis parallel to the axes, the third gear wheel meshing with the respective first crown wheels and the respective fourth gear wheel meshing with the respective second crown wheels.
