An expansion bolt including a housing member integrally formed as a single piece of material, the housing member having a base, a plurality of elongate elastic members extending distally from the base, the elongate elastic members distally terminating in respective spoons, and the elongate elastic members having thicknesses that are substantially less than thicknesses of the base and the spoons, a central shaft member extending through the housing member and terminating in a wedge member, the spoons defining a cavity for receiving the wedge member, the elongate elastic members structured to bend outwardly in response to the wedge member moving into the cavity, and a biasing member for biasing the shaft member relative to the housing member in the direction of said increasing relative translation.

Expansion bolt and pivot and swivel mechanism therefor

An expansion bolt and pivot and swivel mechanism therefor. The expansion bolt may have a base and a plurality of radially spreadable elongate elastic members cantileveredly projecting from the base at respective points of joinder to the base and terminating in respective spoons at respective points of joinder of the spoons, wherein the elongate elastic members have respective radially defined thicknesses at the points of joinder to the base that are substantially less than the corresponding thicknesses of the base, and respective radially defined thicknesses at the points of joinder of the spoons that are substantially less than the corresponding thicknesses of the spoons. The pivot and swivel mechanism may have a ring element that includes two spaced apart leg members having foot portions that turn to extend toward each other, the foot portions having respective, spaced-apart relatively enlarged ends; a swivel housing element having an open end for receiving and at least partially containing the ends of the foot portions so that the ring element can be substantially freely rotated about a pivot axis; and a capping element adapted for interlocking with the open end of the swivel housing element, the capping element having a bottom surface portion of radial symmetry about a swivel axis that is distinct from the pivot axis.

A wood anchoring device having a connecting ring defining a closed connecting aperture and at least two ties, at least two of the at least two ties having respective fastening holes at anchoring ends thereof. The device may be fastened to the thin side of a 2&#xd7;N piece of lumber through the fastening holes, wherein the at least two of the at least two ties are on the same side of the connecting ring relative to the axis of a test tensile load applied to the connecting ring in a direction perpendicular to the elongate axis of the piece of lumber. At least one of the ties has a length that is substantially different from a corresponding length of at least one other tie, the different lengths providing for responding to tensile loading by stretching differentially and thereby assisting in equalizing the forces applied to the fastening holes.

Wood anchoring device

A connecting and anchoring device. A cable element terminates at opposite ends in respective gate and spine cable termination structures. A gate housing houses a gating portion of the cable element and includes a locking element. The device has a first configuration in which the termination structures are locked together and a second configuration in which the termination structures can be separated from one another by manipulating the locking element. The device in at least the first configuration defines a closed aperture. A spine housing houses a spinal portion of the cable element. The spine housing is attached to the base and the gate housing is pivotally connected to the base so that the gate housing can pivot relative to the spine housing so as to change the configuration of the connecting and anchoring device between the second configuration and a third configuration in which the aperture is open. The cable element includes a cable that extends uninterrupted from the spine housing, through the base, and into the gate housing.

Connecting and anchoring device

A connecting and anchoring device includes a cable element and one or more housings for the cable element. The cable element terminates at opposite ends thereof in respective gate and spine cable termination structures. The one or more housings include a gate housing which houses the cable element proximate the gate cable termination structure. The gate housing includes a manipulable locking element. The gate and spine cable termination structures have complementary shapes or structures and are configured to provide for changing between a first configuration of the connecting and anchoring device in which the gate and spine cable termination structures are locked together so as to inhibit separation thereof, and a second configuration of the connecting and anchoring device in which the gate and spine cable termination structures can be freely separated from one another as a consequence of manipulating the locking element.

Method and apparatus for providing cutting fluid in a CNC machine

An unfurlable rescue ladder. The ladder includes a progress capture element allowing someone who deploys the ladder for rescuing a person who has fallen to also assist the person to climb the ladder.

Unfurlable rescue ladder

A wedge anchor bolt having a screw member, a wedge member, and a cage member. The bolt is anchored into a drilled hole by wedging the wedge member in the end of the cage member by turning the screw member, with the result being that the wedge member becomes stuck in the cage member. For ejecting the wedge member from the cavity the screw member includes at least one of (1) one or more depressed portions, and (2) one or more projecting portions, defining a step, and the cage member includes one or more corresponding step-engaging portions for making an interference contact with the step, so that further withdrawal of the threads ceases to withdraw the threads relative to the cage member while continuing to withdraw the threads relative to the wedge member, thereby forcing the wedge member distally relative to the cavity.

Wedge anchor bolt

A concrete anchor point system provides for an anchor point, a receptacle for embedding into a concrete structure for removably receiving the anchor point, and a tool for remotely installing the anchor point in the structure, or removing the anchor point from the structure. The receptacle is preferably tapered, and an anchoring end of the anchor point is preferably tapered to match.

A beam anchor. The beam anchor includes an elongate cross-member, a lanyard attachment structure attached to the cross-member, a pair of first and second spaced apart beam capturing members attached to the cross-member. Either or both capturing members may have a locking mechanism that is cantilevered from the capturing member, and the lanyard attachment structure may have a lanyard attachment ring connector that is capable of rotating about the cross-member but that is constrained to a fixed position along the cross-member by use of a ring or partial ring structure attached to the cross-member that extends through a slot in the lanyard attachment ring connector.
