A single-semiconductor motor fan comprises a cylinder; a fixed armature with the central portion fitted over the lower end of the outer periphery of the cylinder and having a plurality of salient poles; a plurality of single-phase armature coils mounted on the armature; bearings fixed on the inner periphery of both ends of the cylinder; a rotary shaft rotatably supported by the bearings; a cup-shaped rotor fixed on the upper end of the rotary shaft; an annular magnet fixed on the inner surface of the rotor and magnetized into N and S poles having the same pitch as those of the salient poles, the N and S magnetic pole surfaces facing the salient pole surfaces with a space therebetween; a radial fan composed of a plastic cylinder fitted over a protruding portion of the rotor and a plurality of plastic plates extending radially outwardly of the cylinder, the height of the radial fan not exceeding the height of the protruding portion of the rotor; a position detecting element for detecting the position of the magnet of the rotor and producing a single-phase position detecting signal; an energization controlling circuit for energizing the armature coil and producing a unidirectional torque by the position detecting signal; and a self starting means for producing an output torque at a dead point by virtue of a cogging torque.

The device comprises a light-emitting element, a first electric circuit for generating an electric pulse and causing pulsating-conduction of the light-emitting element, a first lens for converging the light emitted from the light-emitting element onto a body to be detected, a mark attached to the body to be detected for performing retroreflection action, a second lens and a photo-detector element for receiving the light reflected by the body to be detected and the mark, a second electric circuit for amplifying the output electric signal of the photo-detector element and holding an electric signal synchronized with the electric pulse, a third electric circuit for generating an electric signal whose frequency or amplitude varies in response to the output electric signal of the second electric circuit, and an electro-acoustic transducer or vibrator for converting the output electric signal of the third electric circuit into a sound or into a stimulation.

A semiconductor electric motor is disclosed which comprises: an outer housing; a cylindrical magnetic core fixedly mounted to the inside of the outer housing; polyphase armature coils mounted upon the magnetic core; a rotative shaft rotatably held by bearings mounted upon the outer housing; a rotor which is fixed to the rotative shaft and which is excited by exciting coils mounted thereon in such a way that the outer surface is polarized south and north at regular intervals and that the produced magnetic field penetrates through the armature coils; a first core made from a magnetic material and centrally provided with a hole which is made stationary relative to the rotative shaft extending through the hole; a second core made from a magnetic material and fixed inside the outer housing; the first and second cores cooperating with secondary and primary coils respectively mounted upon the first and second cores to constitute a rotary transformer; an RF oscillator consisting of a semiconductor circuit and acting to supply RF alternating current to the primary coil; an electric circuit for rectifying the output from the secondary coil and supplying it to the exciting coils; and an electric current supply control circuit for controlling the electric current supplied to the armature coils to produce a torque in one direction.

The support base is biased toward the stop position and is moved to a playback position responsive to rotation of the motor in a first direction and to the cue and review position responsive to rotation of the motor in the opposite direction.

A direct current motor comprising the field magnet pole of a permanent magnet and an armature having a plurality of armature windings.
