The invention relates to grid () comprising at least one luminaire (-), wherein at least one luminaire (-) comprises one or more acoustic sensors (), and preferably other sensors (); wherein the grid further comprises a controller () supplied with the output signals of said sensors (), wherein the controller () is arranged for discriminating different sound categories in the output signals, including human voice sound, and to issue a sensor information signal () representing at least the sound category.

Grid of luminaires

A method () for functional classification of luminaires (-) arranged as a grid () has luminaires (-) with at least two different sensors (), such as at least two of a light sensor (), an acoustic sensor () and a motion sensor (). Output signals of the sensors () are supplied to a controller (), and are wirelessly forwarded () along with timestamps and luminaire IDs to a gateway and then transmitted to a central database (). The timestamps are used to correlate the sensor information signals () over a defined period of time, and to generate () functional classification information based on the correlations found. The functional classification information indicates a likelihood function of a certain usage of each luminaire, out of a given set of usage functions.

Method for functional classification of luminaires

A method () for grouping luminaires (-) arranged as a grid () to generate settings for illuminating scenes in a building. Each of the luminaires (-) has one or more sensors (). Output signals of said one or more sensors () are supplied to the controller () for the respective luminaire. The sensor information signals () including timestamps and luminaire IDs are forwarded wirelessly to a gateway and then to a central database. The sensor information signals () is correlated over a defined period of time, and grouping information is based on the correlations found. The grouping information relates to a spatial arrangement of the luminaires (-).

Method for grouping luminaires

The invention relates to a sensor arrangement () configured to detect a motion of an object. The sensor arrangement () comprises a motion sensor () configured to detect data about the motion of the object; a vibration sensor () configured to detect a vibration of the sensor arrangement (), wherein if the vibration is lower than a threshold value, then an output signal of the sensor arrangement () signaling the motion of the object is output.

Sensor arrangement

The invention relates to a method () for monitoring the density and the movement of humans using a grid () of a plurality of luminaires (-), each of the luminaires (-) comprising an acoustic sensor (), a motion sensor (), preferably a Doppler sensor, a controller () supplied with output signals of said sensors (), and a wireless interface () for a communication between the controller () and a gateway () for forwarding sensor information signals () to a central database (), wherein, based on the information in the database (), the density and/or the movement of humans in an area covered by the grid () is estimated by generating a time series of sensor values, such as sound pressure, motion speed and/or motion intensity, of each luminaire (-).

Method for monitoring the density and/or the movement of humans

The invention proposes an improved illumination system (). The illumination system () comprises: an LED module () having at least one LED or OLED; at least one light sensor (); and a control circuit () designed to control the current flowing through the LED module (), and to be supplied with an individual sensing signal of each of the at least one light sensor (). The at least one light sensor () is designed such that: the light sensor () has its sensitivity peak set to be at a lower wavelength than the spectrum emitted by the LED module (), preferably below 420 nm, more preferably below 410 nm, and/or the light sensor () has its sensitivity peak set to be at a higher wavelength than the spectrum emitted by the LED module (), preferably above 680 nm. Furthermore, the invention proposes a method for calibrating the illumination system (). The control circuit () is designed to calculate a crosstalk calibration value, by detecting the contribution of a switching on or increasing of the current through the LED module () in a non-ambient light state, on the basis of the supplied detection signals.

Illumination system

LED light source, comprising a series connection of at least two LED strings, wherein each of the at least two LED strings corresponds to a single LED or comprises at least two LEDs, wherein at least one ohmic resistive element is connected in series with a first LED string of the at least two LED strings, and at least one switching element is connected in parallel to the series connection of the at least one ohmic resistive element and the first LED string, wherein the at least one switching element is configured to bypass in its conductive state the series connection of the at least one ohmic resistive element and the first LED string.

Flicker reduction in LED light sources

The invention relates to a direct AC driving circuit and a luminaire for driving at least one LED, the driving circuit comprises a LED string () that comprises a series connection of at least two LEDs, wherein the LED string () is directly powered from a rectified AC mains voltage and a LED string switching unit () that is configured to control at least one LED shortening unit (') that is arranged in parallel to at least one LED of the LED string (&#x2032;). According to the invention, the driving circuit comprises means configured to provide a low supply voltage (V) which is also derived from the rectified AC mains voltage (), wherein the low supply voltage (V) is generated from unutilized voltage of the LED-string (&#x2032;).

Direct AC driving circuit and luminaire

The present application relates to a LED module () for being connected to a DC power supply (), the LED module comprising a multilayer board () comprising a metal surface () and a dielectric layer () arranged thereon, at least one LED chip () arranged on the metal surface () of the multilayer board, an encapsulation layer () arranged above the at least one LED chip (), and current regulator means () arranged on the multilayer board, wherein the current regulator means () are designed to convert a DC input provided to the module () to a predefined DC output for being provided to the at least one LED chip ().

LED module with integrated current control

The invention relates to a retrofit LED lamp having an LED module, a driver circuit for supplying power to the LED module, a base for making mechanical and electrical contact with a bulb fitting and a heat sink arrangement for dissipating the heat produced during operation at the LED module and/or the driver circuit. The heat sink arrangement in this case has a metal mount insert consisting of a mount plate with an integrally attached collar, the mount plate bearing, in thermally conductive contact, the LED module, and a transparent upper shell being fitted to the collar of the mount insert in the light exit direction and a thermally conductive lower shell being fitted, in areal contact, in the direction of the base for heat dissipation, said upper shell and said lower shell together forming a housing of the LED lamp which surrounds the LED module and the mount insert.

Retrofit LED-lamp

The present invention is directed to a cooling system () for electronic components (). The cooling system () comprises means () for producing cyclic air pressure fluctuations, wherein the electronic components () are distanced from the pressure producing means (). In the vicinity of the electronic components () are situated means (), preferably restrictions like holes, which are affected by the cyclic air pressure fluctuations, and which produce cyclic air jets (). The air jets () affect the surface of the electronic component (), and since the air jets () originate directly in the vicinity of the electronic components (), an efficient heat transfer is affected. Preferably, the pressure producing means () actuate a pressure Pc inside a chamber (), and turbulent air jets () are produced through holes () of a substrate (), onto which electronic components () are mounted.

Cooling system for electronic components and led lamp having the same

The present invention proposes an LED dimming module () comprising two LED strings (), the first LED string () comprising at least one color converted blue or UV LED () and the second LED string () comprising at least one amber light emitting LED (), the LED module further comprising control means () connected to the first and second LED string (), said control means () being designed to selectively vary a current provided to the first LED string () such that a non-linear dimming curve () of the resulting emitted light is obtained, said dimming curve () approaching the planckian curve () on the CIE chromaticity diagram.

The invention relates to an LED lamp (L), having a light-emitting means with at least one LED, and a heat sink (K-K), characterized in that the heat sink (K-K) is configured such that a plurality of channels ('&#x2033;) are formed through said heat sink for transporting away air which is heated by operation of the light-emitting means, wherein the channels (&#x2032;&#x2033;) are arranged in the form of a ring around an axis (A), and wherein the length of at least one channel (&#x2032;&#x2033;) is at least half the shortest diagonal or transversal in the transverse extent of the corresponding one channel. The arrangement according to the invention and in particular the configuration of the channels (&#x2032;&#x2033;) make it possible to achieve particularly effective dissipation of heat.
