A invention relates to a chain shackle for fastening a hoist chain of a chain hoist to a hoisting member or the chain hoist. The chain shackle includes two identical shackle halves installable against each other to work together in such a manner that they form between them a first space for one chain loop or chain loop half of the hoist chain to lock it against the hoisting direction or force. The first space is open in a first direction in the longitudinal direction of the chain shackle. A second space is connected to the first space and intended for a second hoist chain loop that is coupled with the first chain loop or is to be coupled with a chain loop half. The second space is open in both longitudinal directions of the hoist chain.

The invention relates to a trolley () of an overhead crane, supported to be movable between two main girders (), whereby there is a service platform () on the side of the trolley, the service platform being turnable or slidable in the upward direction and/or towards the trolley.

The structure and operation of a brake' associated with an electric motor driven chain hoist&#x2032;, according to FIG., are exactly the same as those of the manually operated system, except that a shaft&#x2032; of the electric motor rotor&#x2032; as well as an extension&#x2032; thereof form a drive shaft and the second cam part 6, the brake disc/clutch disc arrangement, a driven input shaft&#x2032; of a hoisting apparatus&#x2032; and the hoisting apparatus&#x2032; itself are arranged between an electric motor&#x2032; and the first cam parton the drive shaft&#x2032; in such a manner that the second cam partwith the componentsfastened thereto may rotate therein and move axially and the input shaft&#x2032; of the driven hoisting apparatus&#x2032; may rotate, since the rotor&#x2032; is placed on the opposite side of the system compared with the manually operated system shown in FIGS.toso that the extension&#x2032; of the shaft&#x2032; of the rotor&#x2032; has to move through the input shaft&#x2032;. Parts&#x2032; and&#x2032; of a body&#x2032; of the brake are also shaped differently but operate similarly.

Torque controlled brake

A disc brake to be opened by torque is arranged between a drive shaft and a driven shaft and comprising a brake wheel arrangement arranged between the drive shaft and the driven shaft, a friction surface arrangement arranged to co-operate with the brake wheel arrangement, at least one spring device arranged to press the brake wheel arrangement and the friction surface arrangement axially against each other, and a cam arranged between the drive shaft and the brake wheel arrangement, and the cam causing by the impact of the torque or rotation of the drive shaft and the possible countertorque of the driven shaft the relative axial position between the brake wheel arrangement and the friction surface arrangement to change in order to detach at least partly the braking engagement against the spring force caused by the spring device.

Disc brake to be opened by torque

An electric motor, e.g. for use in a hydraulic elevator, has a stator surrounding a rotor and a stator frame around the stator, to which frame end flanges of the motor are secured. The stator frame is formed by a metal sheet bent into the form of a trough, in which the stator is mounted.

Electric motor

An electric motor, for instance for a hydraulic elevator, is entirely immersed within a liquid such as oil, and is provided with a flywheel. A drawback of this kind of electric motor is that the flywheel, rotating in oil, brakes the rotation of the motor. In the present electric motor the flywheel is enclosed in a housing and an air pipe extends to the housing so that by action of centrifugal force air is drawn into the housing, and liquid in the housing escapes from the housing through a discharge aperture when the motor starts.
