A thermally insulating flask having two containers of flow-pressed aluminum, wherein an inner container is placed inside and at a distance from an outer container. The inner container forms a flask neck at the top of the inner container, which is connected in an air-tight manner with the outer container. Both containers are connected at the top by a material of low thermal conductivity, for example chrome-nickel steel, in an air-tight and rigid manner. The connecting piece can be constructed from a composite-plated chrome-nickel steel laminate, in which the aluminum layer has been removed by a lathe, leaving two collar rims, to allow welding to the aluminum containers, while the remaining chrome-nickel steel layer forms the mechanical connection which has low thermal conductivity.

Process for producing a thermally insulated flask

An air pump is configured as a reciprocating compressor. On a fuel tank, there is fitted a cylinder of the air pump, in which an axially displaceable piston rod, having a handle and a piston, is coaxially disposed. The piston divides the interior of the cylinder into two chambers. The lower one of these chambers, lying closer to the fuel tank, communicates with the fuel tank via a first one-way valve, which permits only the entry of air into the fuel tank. The upper one of these chambers, lying farther from the fuel tank, communicates unchecked with the atmosphere. The one-way sealing of the piston against the cylinder allows the passage of air past the piston only in the direction from the upper chamber to the lower chamber. The piston rod is provided with a coaxial duct and a second one-way valve which is opposed to the first. The two chambers are able to intercommunicate via the coaxial duct and the second one-way valve, which, from a predetermined pressure, allows air to escape to the atmosphere.

The grippers are mounted on a doffer bar so as to disengage from both the top and bottom of the bar should a mis-alignment occur relative to a bobbin tube. The removal or separation of a gripper from the bar causes a pneumatic or electrical signal to be generated which can be used to indicate the individual disturbance location. A light may also be provided at each gripper station in order to indicate a position of a disturbance.

The method and apparatus for supplying a reserve feed stock to a spinning machine or spinning position thereof, contemplates monitoring the operational state of a production feed stock and upon reaching a predeterminate operational state thereof, such as near depletion or depletion of the production feed stock, or even rupture thereof, bringing a reserve feed stock previously held in readiness into a production position where such reserve feed stock now assumes the role of a production feed stock. In this way, downtime of the spinning machine or spinning position can be minimized and its operation at least partially automated insofar as there is always available a reserve feed stock to allow for essentially continuous or continual production of a spun yarn or thread.

The conveying system uses a movable trolley containing vertically spaced support surfaces, each of which has parallel tracks for receiving peg trays. The trolley is movable onto a transferring conveyor, for example, at the end of a ring spinning machine. The transfer station has conveyors for conveying rows of peg trays onto and from the trolley.

The carriers which carry the roving bobbins are moved from the conveyors which are parallel to the spinning machine on branches which extend laterally into the spinning machine to effect a bobbin changeover of transverse rows of bobbins in the machine. The branches extend angularly, for example, at angles of 45.degree. to 90.degree. to the center plane of the spinning machine and may extend to near the center plane or across the width of the machine.
