Various embodiments described herein relate to foundation applications comprising a framework which can be extended to provide a domain-specific application. In this regard, a foundation application comprising a plurality of predefined core services is generated. An extension request is received that comprises an addition or modification to data associated with a selected template. In response to the extension request, output data is determined based on the addition or the modification to the data associated with the selected template. A visualization comprising an indication of the output data is provided at an electronic interface of the foundation application.

Systems and methods for managing alert notifications from a secured area are provided. Such systems and methods can include a surveillance device monitoring the secured area and transmitting data captured from the secured area to an artificial intelligence module, the artificial intelligence module using the data to identify a scenario associated with the secured area and a notification priority of the scenario, and when the notification priority is at or above a preconfigured level, the artificial intelligence module transmitting an alert notification to a cloud server indicative of the scenario.

The disclosure reveals a human machine interface that may incorporate an electronics module and display, a camera module connected to the electronics module, and an image processor connected to the camera module. The camera module may detect a person at the electronic module. An image of the person from the camera module may go to the image processor that outputs factors about the person from the image. The factors may go to the electronics module that automatically configures the display with a presentation that comports to the factors including style and information about the user. The electronic module may be a thermostat. The display may indicate temperature settings and temperatures of rooms in a house. Contents of the display may be derived from a context based interaction between the person and electronic module. The interface may further incorporate a cloud having analytics connected to the image processor and camera module.

A controller unit for communicating with and controlling one or more discrete air conditioner units within a building is disclosed. In some instances, the discrete air conditioner controller may be configured to receive signals in a first signal format from a central coordinator and to transmit signals to the one or more discrete air conditioner units in a second signal format. The first signal format and second signal format may be different wireless formats. In some cases, the controller unit may store a programmable operating schedule, which may be updated via the central coordinator.

Controller for controlling a building component of a building management system

A building control system that includes a central coordinator and one or more discrete air conditioner controllers configured to communicate with one or more discrete air conditioner units. The discrete air conditioner controller may include a wireless I/O block for receiving signals in a first signal format from the central coordinator and for transmitting signals to the one or more discrete air conditioner units in a second signal format. In some instances, the discrete air conditioner controller may be configured to wirelessly transmit a signal to at least one discrete air conditioner unit in response to receiving a signal from the central coordinator. This configuration may provide a measure of distributed control of the building control system in a cost effective and efficient manner.
