A method for producing a high strength multi-layered film excellent in heat resistance, shrinkability and stretchability and usable for wrapping of various articles which comprises at least five layers comprising a surface layer (S layer) mainly composed of at least one polymer selected from (A), (B), etc. and as inner layers at least one base layer (SBC layer) containing mainly a mixed composition comprising a combination such as (A)+(B)+(C), at least one core layer (H layer) containing mainly a polymer selected from (C), and at least one auxiliary layer (R layer) containing mainly at least one polymer selected from (A) and (B), with a proviso that when the R layer is placed-adjacent to the S layer, the R layer comprises the resin different from that of the S layer, said (A) being a low-density polyethylene or a copolymer of ethylene with a specific monomer, said (B) being a soft thermoplastic elastomer having a Vicat softening point of 80.degree. C. or lower, and said (C) being a specific polymer such as a crystalline polypropylene or the like or a mixed polymer thereof.

The present invention relates to the high-sensitivity thermosensitive multilayer film and the method to produce plate-making paper using the film. In the present invention, the high-sensitivity thermosensitive multilayer film consists of at least one functional layer and at least one peeling layer. The said functional layer is made of the thermoplastic resin layer with the thickness of 0.1 to 12 .mu.m and with at least 30% of a thermal shrinkage rate and at least 50 g/mm.sup.2 of thermal shrinkage stress value. The peeling layer consists of the thermoplastic resin layer which is different from that of the functional layer and is the special multilayer film which is readily releasable and capable of exerting a compressive force to the functional layer. When the stencil sheet is manufactured by using the said multilayer film, the operation efficiency at time of lamination and the shrinkage capacity can improve by peeling the said peeling layer after lamination from porous supporting member. Moreover the resistance of the original paper to curling is remarkably enhanced under a high temperature circumstances by removing the compressive force working on the functional layer as result of peeling the peeling layer after lamination if the compressive force exists at the said peeling layer.

Specifically, the composition comprises one of the specific combinations of components (A), (B) and (C), i.e. the combinations of (A)+(B), (B)+(C) and (A)+(B)+(C), wherein (A) is non-rigid polyolefine resins such as ethylene vinyl acetate, (B) is an elastomer comprising a specific ethylene- .alpha.-olefin copolymer and an elastomer consisting of block copolymer having at least one monovinyl substituted aromatic hydrocarbon polymer block and at least one polyolefin polymer block selected from at least one saturated polymer or unsaturated polymer made from mainly aliphatic conjugate diene derivative, and (C) is rigid polyolefin resins such as polypropylene. The packaging film excelling particularly in optical property, mechanical strength and low-temperature shrinking property is obtained by converting a homogenenous blend of the aforementioned composition, either in its crosslinked form or in its non-crosslinked form, into a tubular raw film, which is stretched at a temperature low enough for imparting a high orientation to the film. The present invention relates to a highly sensitive heat-sensitive film for stencil. This invention provides a highly heat-sensitive film for stencil, comprising a thermoplastic resin having a coefficient of temperature and melt viscosity (.DELTA.T/.DELTA. log VI) of not more than 100 and a thermal shrinkage (X%) at 100.degree. C. and a thermal shrinkage stress (Y g/mm.sup.2) at 100.degree. C. falling respectively in the ranges of the formulas; 15.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.80 and 75.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.500; and both falling in the range of the formula; -8X+400.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.-10X+1000; having a thickness in the range of 0.5 to 15 .mu.m, and excelling in low-energy perforation property. The film of this invention is superior in a low temperature perforation property, capable of being perforated with a low energy thermal head or with a low energy flash irradiation for making a plate; expansion of perforations is small when the film is perforated; and its change with time (dimensional change) is small and its sizes are stable.

The present invention provides primarily an entirely new type multilayer oriented film suited for stretch wrapping, particularly for wrapping of foods. Its features include various excellent characteristics such as mechanical strength, transparency, heat resistance, sealability, stretchability, low temperature resistance, etc. In particular, the present invention concerns a process for producing such a multilayer film by cold stretching a multilayer containing at least one layer with a specific composition capable of a high degree of cold stretching, which enables simultaneously cold stretching of other layers made of resins which can be or cannot be stretched solely, through its cold stretching force, thereby imparting high strength to all the layers, and further applying a specific heat treatment on the stretched film to modify orientation of the film so as to increase stretchability and to stabilize dimension of the film.
