According to one embodiment, the sheet conveying device includes a tray, an elevating mechanism, a conveyance roller, and a resistance member. The tray stacks a plurality of sheets. The elevating mechanism lifts and lowers the tray in the stacking direction of a plurality of sheets. The conveyance roller conveys the plurality of sheets in the conveyance direction from the upper side in the stacking direction. The resistance member comes into contact with the leading ends of the plurality of sheets in the conveyance direction. The resistance member imparts a sliding resistance larger than that of the sheet stacking surface of the tray to the leading ends of the plurality of sheets that are lifted and lowered by the elevating mechanism.

A printer includes a sheet feeder; an intermediate transfer body; a first image forming device; a second image forming device arranged downstream of the first image forming device; a secondary transfer roller arranged downstream of the second image forming device; and a processor. The processor moves the secondary transfer roller away from the intermediate transfer body, primarily transfers a second toner image onto the intermediate transfer body, rotates the intermediate transfer body until the second toner image reaches the first image forming device, primarily transfers the first toner image onto the intermediate transfer body by superimposing the first toner image on the second toner image, causes the secondary transfer roller to contact the intermediate transfer body, and secondarily transfers the first toner image and the second toner image onto the sheet using the secondary transfer roller. An image erasing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a sheet supply portion that supplies a sheet and an ejector. A first conveying path conveys the sheet from the sheet supply portion toward the ejector. A reader arranged on the first conveying path reads an image on the sheet. A second conveying path branches from the first conveying path at a downstream of the reader on the first conveying path and merges with the first conveying path at an upstream of the reader on the first conveying path. An erasing unit is arranged on the second conveying path. A conveying path changing portion is arranged at a branching portion. An operating portion receives a setup of the processing to the sheet. A controller changes a conveying path of the sheet in accordance with the setup received by the operating portion before the sheet is supplied from the sheet supply portion.

An erasing apparatus of embodiments has a color erasing device, the color erasing device has: a first heating member; a second heating member provided at a position facing the first heating member so as to form a nip portion therebetween through which the sheet is passed; a halogen lamp configured to heat the second heating member from outside thereof; and a reflector provided at a position opposite to the second heating member with the halogen lamp interposed therebetween and having a reflective surface configured to reflect heat received from the halogen lamp toward the second heating member, the reflector forming a guiding section configured to be in sliding contact with the sheet being conveyed so as to guide the sheet to the nip portion, the guiding section being heated by the halogen lamp.

Decolorizing apparatus

An image decoloring device operates in a power-saving mode and in a normal mode. The image decoloring device includes a decoloring processing unit which removes a color of a decolorable colorant that forms an image on a sheet by applying heat to the sheet. A sheet carrying unit conveys the sheet through the decoloring processing unit. A processor controls the sheet carrying unit. If the image decoloring device is operating in the power-saving mode, a conveyance speed of the sheet through the decoloring processing unit is a first speed. If the image decoloring carrying unit is operating in the normal mode, the conveyance speed of the sheet through the decoloring processing unit is a second speed greater than the first speed.

Image decoloring device

In accordance with one embodiment, a decoloring apparatus comprises a processor, a decoloring section, a shift roller, a paper discharge section and a paper discharge roller. The processor determines whether or not to execute either a decoloring job or a non-decoloring job. The decoloring section decolors an image on paper formed with decolorable coloring agent. The shift roller moves paper for decoloring job or paper for non-decoloring job in a direction orthogonal to a paper discharge direction of the paper on a same plane for a given distance to sort it. The paper discharge section stacks discharged papers. The paper discharge roller discharges the paper sorted by the shift roller to the paper discharge section.

An image forming apparatus according to an embodiment includes a feeder unit that stores a sheet on which no image is formed. A printer device forms an image on the sheet stored by the feeder unit. An erasing apparatus is connectably and detachably attached to the image forming apparatus. The erasing apparatus includes a first sheet stack that stores an unerased sheet on which an image is formed and an erasing device that erases the image formed on the unerased sheet.

In accordance with an embodiment, a sheet processing apparatus comprises a decoloring section, a stacking section, an image forming section, a sheet feed roller and a combined roller. The decoloring section carries out a decoloring processing on a sheet. The sheet subjected to the decoloring processing is discharged to the stacking section. The image forming section carries out an image forming processing on the sheet fed from the stacking section. The sheet feed roller feeds a sheet stacked in the stacking section to a conveyance path through which the sheet is fed to the image forming section. The combined roller aligns the sheets to be discharged to the stacking section at a reference position in a conveyance direction in which the sheets are conveyed to the sheet feed roller, and feeds the sheets stacked in the stacking section to the sheet feed roller along the conveyance direction.

Sheet processing apparatus

According to one embodiment, an image erasing apparatus includes a sheet supply section, a discharge tray, a first conveying path, a reader, a second conveying path, an erasing unit and a switching section. A controller controls the first conveying path, the reader, the second conveying path, the erasing unit and the switching section depending on a selected mode. When the selected mode is an erasing mode, the sheet is conveyed on the first conveying path without being read by the reader, conveyed on the second conveying path where the image is erased by the erasing unit, and then conveyed to the discharge tray. When the selected mode is a reading mode, the sheet is conveyed on the first conveying path where the surface of the sheet is read by the reader, and then conveyed to the discharge tray without being conveyed on the second conveying path.
