A stimulable phosphor sheet stacking tray comprises a tapered section for aligning stimulable phosphor sheets at a predetermined position, which is positioned at least at an inner wall of one side end face of the stacking tray where a lower end portion of the stimulable phosphor sheet falling by the sheet weight passes through. Or, the stacking tray comprises a sheet holding member positioned for contact with upper ends of the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets between an inner wall of an upper end face of the stacking tray and the upper ends of the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets, and a system for moving, by operation from the exterior, the sheet holding member to and away from the stacked stimulable phosphor sheets. Or, the stacking tray is provided with a sheet fall preventing member comprising a stopper projectable from the center of a side end of the opening face of the stacking tray to the inside of the opening face to prevent the sheet falling, and a member for supporting and moving the stopper.

Stimulable phosphor sheet stacking tray

A stimulable phosphor sheet conveyance apparatus has a first conveyance path for receiving a stimulable phosphor sheet from an image read-out section and conveying it in the forward direction, a third conveyance path for receiving the stimulable phosphor sheet from the first conveyance path and then conveying it in the reverse direction, a second conveyance path for receiving the stimulable phosphor sheet conveyed from the third conveyance path, conveying it to an erasing section with its side for recording an image facing erasing light sources in the erasing section, and, after the stimulable phosphor sheet has been erased, conveying the stimulable phosphor sheet in the forward direction to return it to the third conveyance path. A roller for conveying the stimulable phosphor sheet is positioned at the branching point between the first and second conveyance paths, the third conveyance path is provided with a belt for guiding the stimulable phosphor sheet received from the first conveyance path to the third conveyance path, and the third conveyance path is positioned to lie on an imaginary extension of the second conveyance path.

Stimulable phosphor sheet conveyance apparatus

A selective sheet feeder includes a plurality of trays and a sheet feed unit movable over the trays and including a conveyor. The sheet feed unit with a sheet held on the conveyor is moved toward and stopped over a prescribed one of the trays. Then, the conveyor is driven by a rotational drive source for discharging the sheet into the prescribed tray.
