A magnetic recording apparatus for electrocardiographs wherein an input signal is converted into a digital signal, such digital signal is accumulated and intermittently recorded, thereby enabling electric power consumption to be reduced and efficiency of use to be improved. Parallel memories are used to store the digital signal at a first rate and the digital signal is read from the memories at a second rate higher than the first rate.

Recording apparatus for electrocardiographs

This invention relates to an apparatus for automatically supplying and selectively reproducing a tape cassette having a plurality of cassette accommodating racks into which a plurality of tape cassettes are accommodated, a plurality of reproducing apparatus for reproducing the plurality of tape cassettes, a tape cassette transporting apparatus for transporting the plurality of tape cassettes from the tape cassette accommodating racks to the plurality of reproducing apparatus and for transporting the plurality of tape cassettes from the plurality of reproducing apparatus to the tape cassette accommodating racks and a control apparatus for controlling at least a sequential order of reproducing the plurality of tape cassettes and a sequential order of a playback mode operation of the plurality of reproducing apparatus. In this case, the apparatus comprises a switching circuit having a plurality of reproduced signal input terminals to which reproduced output signals of the plurality of reproducing apparatus are respectively supplied and a plurality of output terminals being controlled by the control apparatus so as to supply the plurality of reproduced signals to predetermined transmission lines and a reproducing apparatus control circuit having control keys corresponding to the plurality of output terminals and for controlling the plurality of reproducing apparatus to supply reproduced signals through the switching circuit to the plurality of output terminals by operating the control keys.

Control apparatus for controlling

An interactive audio-visual teaching apparatus includes a video tape player, a video monitor, a student keyboard, a printer, and a programmed teaching controller, which can include a microprocessor. Teaching programs recorded on video tape include a plurality of lesson segments. A program control information code group is contained within the audio track of the tape in advance of the first program and indicates the position of the top of each program and the end of the last program. Segment control information code groups, recorded in the audio track respectively at the onset of each program, contain segment location data, correct answer data, branch instruction data, and the like for the segments of the respective program. A temporary memory, e.g., a RAM, is provided with the program and segment data, and a permanent memory, e.g., a ROM, contains universal software which is used with any previously prepared teaching-program tapes. The teaching controller provides mode control signals to the video tape player, as governed by the contents of the control information code groups in dependence on control pulses picked up from the control track of the tape.
