A combined intermittently operated heat pump device which comprises n combinations (n being an integer equal to or greater than 2) of intermittently operated heat cycles, each combination comprising of vessels accommodating therein different kinds of absorbent material having different temperature and pressure characteristics and coupled with each other by means of a piping through which a common working medium can flow. The 2n batches of the absorbent materials in the respective vessels include at least n+1 kinds of the absorbent material having different temperature and equilibrium pressure characteristics, at least one temperature of heat of absorption in one of the cycles being selected to be higher than the temperature of heat of desorption in at least one of the remaining cycles. A heat transportation passage is provided between the one of the cycles and at least one of the remaining cycles for enabling the heat generated in the one of the cycles to be used as a heat input to the at least one of the remaining cycles.

Thermal system based on thermally coupled intermittent absorption heat

A composition for absorption refrigeration which comprises a fluorinated hydrocarbon refrigerant, an amide or glycol ether solvent serving as an absorption liquid, and a phosphite stabilizer. The stabilizer is used in an amount of 0.05 to 0.5 wt % of the absorption liquid calculated as phosphorus, within which range the phosphite stabilizer can suitably protect the refrigerant and the absorption liquid from deteriorating and decomposing at high operation temperatures.

Composition for absorption refrigeration

An absorption type heat pump device including a generator for generating refrigerant vapor, a condenser, an evaporator, an expansion valve, an absorber, a solution pump, a passage member for leading strong solution from the generator to the absorber, and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger and/or the passage member is provided with a portion in which a pressure drop is made larger than a drop in equilibrium pressure resulting from a temperature drop so as to perform flow control of the strong solution.

Absorption type heat pump device

An absorption type refrigeration system includes a main flow circuit, a first and a second auxiliary flow circuit. The main flow circuit includes a refrigerant generator containing a solution of evaporable refrigerant in a less evaporable solvent which is heated by solar energy. Pressurized vapor phase refrigerant is supplied to a main condenser and thence to a main evaporator and back to an absorber in which a low refrigerant content solution from the generator is converted to a high refrigerant content solution which is pumped to the generator for recirculation. An electrically driven compressor supplies vapor phase refrigerant through the first auxiliary flow circuit including a condenser, a diaphragm-operated expansion valve, and a first auxiliary evaporator which is arranged to cool the main condenser. The expansion valve is responsive to the vapor pressure of the generator to regulate the pressure of the auxiliary evaporator in a predetermined relationship with the pressure of the main condenser so that the pressure at which refrigerant is evaporated in the first auxiliary evaporator is lower than the pressure at which refrigerant is condensed in the main condenser. The expansion valve is closed when the generator pressure is below the evaporation pressure of the main circuit to direct refrigerant from the compressor to a second auxiliary evaporator.

Absorption type refrigeration system including compressor driven

A heat pump comprises an indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger and a reversal valve which directs vapor phase refrigerant from a generator to the indoor heat exchanger during heating mode and to the outdoor heat exchanger during cooling mode. The reversal valve directs evaporated refrigerant to an absorber where it is absorbed by a strong solution supplied from the generator to generate absorption heat and a weak solution is pumped to the refrigerant generator. An indoor radiator and an outdoor radiator are connected in a closed loop water flow circuit during heating mode. A section of the water flow circuit passes through the absorber to extract heat therefrom to warm the indoor air by the indoor radiator. As a function of outdoor temperature, the water in the radiator is varied so that the temperature of the cooling water at the entry point of the absorber and hence the evaporation temperature is rendered variable so that the latter is automatically set at a point lower than the outdoor temperature to permit the outdoor heat exchanger to extract heat from the environment in a wide range of outdoor temperature variations. During cooling mode, the hot water from the absorber is routed to a second outdoor radiator bypassing the indoor radiator.

According to the present invention, in a hybrid type refrigerating cycle having a compressor disposed between a refrigerant vapor generator of an absorption type refrigeration cycle and a condenser, a refrigerant reservoir is disposed after the condenser. The refrigerant liquid level inside the refrigerant reservoir is detected to properly control the start of operation or the suspending of operation of the compressor thereby to end wasteful power consumption, thus ensuring smoother operation of the refrigerating machine.

Absorption type refrigerating machine of hybrid constructions

The present invention relates to an improvement of a solar refrigeration system. The solar refrigeration system has been improved by combining a solar collector-generator and a heat exchanger into one unit to increase the performance efficiency of the system by eliminating heat losses. The solar collector-generator comprises a tube and header arrangement including a plurality of double-walled tubes, each consisting of an outer pipe and an inner pipe, the inner pipe defining a passage for a high temperature refrigerant-lean or weak solution, whereas, the outer and inner tubes defining therebetween a passage for a low temperature refrigerant-rich or strong solution.

Solar refrigeration system

A system to accomplish both air cooling and air heating of indoor space by utilizing solar energy. In principle the disclosed system is an absorption refrigeration system, wherein a solution of an evaporable refrigerant in a less evaporable solvent is passed through a solar collector-generator, but the system has additional fluid passages with the provision of changeover valves arranged so as to pass the refrigerant in heated and vaporized state from the collector-generator to an indoor heat exchanger, bypassing the condenser of the refrigerator, thereby to accomplish air heating and return the refrigerant in liquid state from the heat exchanger to the collector-generator, bypassing the absorber of the refrigerator.
