A turbine includes a turbine housing having a scroll flow passage and a gas inflow passage fluidly coupled to the scroll flow passage, and a variable nozzle assembly located inside the turbine housing. The variable nozzle assembly includes a plurality of nozzle vanes located in the gas inflow passage and a plurality of vane shafts separately fixed to the nozzle vanes. The plurality of nozzle vanes includes a first nozzle vane and a number of second nozzle vanes. A width of the first nozzle vane in an axial direction of the vane shafts is smaller than a width of each of the second nozzle vane in the axial direction of the vane shafts.

A turbocharger includes: a mixed flow turbine including a turbine wheel; a turbine housing configured to house the turbine wheel, including a gas passage extending toward a leading edge of a blade of the turbine wheel; and nozzle vanes arranged in the gas passage in the circumferential direction of the turbine wheel, mutually adjacent two of the nozzle vanes forming a throat therebetween. Each nozzle vane is twisted with respect to a trailing edge of the nozzle vane as a twist center such that a width of the throat becomes narrower on the shroud side than on the hub side.

A turbine includes: a housing including an accommodating portion accommodating a turbine impeller; a first turbine scroll flow path communicating with the accommodating portion; a second turbine scroll flow path communicating with the accommodating portion and having a volume larger than a volume of the first turbine scroll flow path; a valve seat having a first port and a second port, the first port communicating with the first turbine scroll flow path, the second port communicating with the second turbine scroll flow path and having an opening area smaller than an opening area of the first port; a valve configured to contact the valve seat; and a shaft holding the valve and arranged on a side opposite to the first port with respect to the second port.

Turbine

A turbine includes: an inner diameter side exhaust flow path; an outer diameter side exhaust flow path having a flow path cross-sectional area smaller than a flow path cross-sectional area of the inner diameter side exhaust flow path; an inner diameter side bypass flow path connecting the inner diameter side exhaust flow path and a discharge flow path; and an outer diameter side bypass flow path connecting the outer diameter side exhaust flow path and the discharge flow path, the outer diameter side bypass flow path having a flow path cross-sectional area larger than a flow path cross-sectional area of the inner diameter side bypass flow path.

A turbocharger includes a turbine housing having a hub-side scroll flow path and a shroud-side scroll flow path, and a turbine wheel having front edges for receiving a working fluid from the hub-side scroll flow path and the shroud-side scroll flow path. Each front edge of the turbine wheel includes a first portion for receiving the working fluid flowing out from the hub-side scroll flow path, and a second portion for receiving the working fluid flowing out from the shroud-side scroll flow path. The first portion is inclined with respect to a virtual plane including a rotational axis in a direction opposite a rotational direction of the turbine wheel. The second portion is inclined with respect to the virtual plane in the rotational direction.

A turbocharger includes a turbine impeller, a turbine housing which includes a scroll portion and a discharge port, a bypassing passage portion which guides a working fluid from the scroll portion to the discharge port, and a valve portion which controls the inflow of the working fluid to the bypassing passage portion. The hub side scroll is formed so that a cross-sectional area of a passage is larger than that of a shroud side scroll. The valve portion includes a hub side valve which controls the inflow of the working fluid from the hub side scroll to the bypassing passage portion and a shroud side valve which controls the inflow of the working fluid from the shroud side scroll to the bypassing passage portion. An operation of opening and closing the hub side valve is independent from an operation of opening and closing the shroud side valve.

A diffuser includes a ring-shaped parallel part, and a ring-shaped throttling part formed continuously to the inside of the parallel part in a radial direction. A wall surface of the throttling part includes a flow passage area minimum portion which makes minimal a flow passage area of the diffuser, and a ring-shaped protruding portion located closer to the outlet side of the compressor wheel than the flow passage area minimum portion, and protruding toward the flow passage of the diffuser.

Centrifugal compressor and turbocharger

This relates to a nozzle blade in which the leading edge shape has a curved-line shape that is formed by the distance from the rotation axis of the nozzle blade to the leading edge changing depending on the nozzle blade height position, and the trailing edge shape has a straight-line shape that is formed by the distance from the rotation axis of the nozzle blade to the trailing edge being constant irrespective of the nozzle blade height position.

A variable capacity type turbocharger includes a bearing housing which rotatably supports a turbine impeller; a turbine housing; and an exhaust nozzle, wherein the exhaust nozzle includes a pair of exhaust introduction walls forming a passageway of the exhaust gas and a plurality of nozzle vanes disposed between the pair of exhaust introduction walls and supported to be rotatable about the turbine impeller, and wherein each nozzle vane includes a high-pressure wall surface facing the scroll passageway, the bearing housing side of the high-pressure wall surface is provided to be closer to the turbine impeller than the turbine housing side thereof, and when the turbine impeller rotates, the nozzle vane moves toward the turbine housing.

A magnet is provided on the inner circumferential surface of a hub rotatable about a central axis C of the motor, and a stator is arranged inside the inner circumferential surface of the hub to oppose the magnet. The stator core of the stator is formed by stacking substantially annular, plate-shaped core forming members, and has an annular portion arranged to be coaxial with the central axis, a plurality of winding portions projecting from the annular portion radially, and pole portions formed on the extending ends of the respective winding portions and opposing the magnet. Each winding portion is squeezed in the stacking direction by plastic formation such that its thickness is smaller than those of the annular portion and pole portion. A coil is wound on each squeezed winding portion.

Spindle motor having recessed stator coils

A CPU instructs a VCM driver, a spindle motor driver and a servo data reading or writing circuit, to writing servo data for error detection at any of default rotation frequencies stored in a memory. A positioning error signal analyzer detects a positioning error from the written servo data for error detection, and CPU determines an optimal disk rotation frequency from this positioning error.

Servo writer for magnetic disk drive and servo writing method

A disk apparatus comprises a carriage rotatably arranged in the case, and a magnetic head supported on the carriage. A voice coil motor for rotating the carriage includes a yoke fixed to the case, a magnet fixed to the yoke, and a coil mounted on the carriage and facing the magnet. A carriage locking mechanism for locking the carriage in a stop position includes a locking magnet and a magnetic member fixed directly to the yoke and the carriage, respectively. The magnetic member is attracted by the magnetic force of the locking magnet to lock the carriage in the stop position, when the carriage is rotated to the stop position. An elastic member is fitted on the locking magnet so as to abut against the magnetic member to relieve the shock and to define a predetermined gap between the magnetic member and the locking magnet when the carriage is rotated to the stop position.

Disk apparatus

There is provided a magnetic disk apparatus wherein a hub is rotatably mounted on a hub holder of a bracket via bearings. A stator core and a motor coil are mounted on the outer side of the hub holder, and a yoke and magnet are mounted on the hub, thereby constituting a spindle motor. A magnetic disk is placed on a flange provided at one end portion of the hub. The disk is fixed between the flange and a disk clamper with a spacer interposed between the clamper and the disk. The bracket is formed of aluminum or a plastic material. A reinforcement plate made of an ion-based material or a ceramic material on a bottom surface of the bracket. Since the reinforcement plate is attached to the bracket, the rigidity of the bracket and the rigidity of the motor disk assembly can be increased without increasing the thickness of the bracket.

The present invention resides in an arrangement structure of an electric portion, a mechanical portion, a base and a cover. A concave portion corresponding to the mechanical portion is formed in the base. On the upper side of the base the mechanical portion is arranged and is covered with a cover. On the under side of the base the electrical parts are arranged and the taller electrical parts equipped on the printed wired board and are arranged in the concave portion of the base.
