Disclosed is a sintered magnet which is a rare-earth magnet using a less amount of a rare-earth element but having a higher maximum energy product and a higher coercivity. The sintered magnet includes a NdFeB crystal; and an FeCo crystal adjacent to the NdFeB crystal through the medium of a grain boundary. The FeCo crystal includes a core and a periphery and has a cobalt concentration decreasing from the core to the periphery. The FeCo crystal has a difference in cobalt concentration of 2 atomic percent or more between the core and the periphery. In the NdFeB crystal, cobalt and a heavy rare-earth element are unevenly distributed and enriched in the vicinity of the grain boundary.

An apparatus for nuclear magnetic resonance measurement includes a measurement portion having a magnet for applying a magnetic field to a sample, a bore within the magnet, a nuclear magnetic resonance probe disposed in the bore, and a container for retaining the sample therein; a mixing filter portion for mixing a small molecule solution with a sample solution; a separating filter portion; a small molecule concentration controlling portion; a transmitter/receiver system; a unit for carrying out circulation solution transfer; a unit for injecting the small molecule solution; a unit for controlling the small molecule concentration; a unit for injecting the sample solution; a unit for holding the sample solution in the measurement portion; a unit for discharging the sample solution; and a unit for carrying out nuclear magnetic resonance measurement of the sample solution.

Apparatus of nuclear magnetic resonance measurement by using circulation flow for sample condition control

The present invention makes it possible to measure a plurality of samples under a certain concentration condition of the small molecule by the circulation transfer of a small molecule solution through a small molecule concentration control portion for injecting, discharging or feeding the small molecule solution, a mixing filter portion for mixing a solution (sample) containing the large molecule sample with the small molecule solution, a container set in a nuclear magnetic resonance probe, a separating filter portion for separating the mixture into the sample and the small molecule solution, and the small molecule concentration control portion; injecting the sample from the mixing filter portion; holding the sample in a measurement portion in the container; and discharging the sample from the separating filter portion after completion of the NMR measurement.

Briefly, the present invention provides an apparatus and a method for performing a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurement on a sample solution containing small molecules and large molecules such as proteins, and provides an apparatus and a method for repeatedly performing the NMR measurement while stably controlling concentration conditions in a sample and changing a concentration of small molecules. A sample solution containing small molecules and large molecules is circularly transferred between a vessel equipped with a nuclear magnetic resonance probe and a control section in which injection and filtration of small molecules are performed. By transferring the sample solution between them, the NMR measurement can be performed while maintaining a concentration of large molecules to be constant and increasing or reducing a concentration of small molecules so that a concentration ratio of the small molecules relative to the large molecules is changed, the two types of molecules being present in the sample solution.

Apparatus and method for circulated flow nuclear magnetic resonance measurement

An object of the present invention is to provide a method of controlling and observing binding of sample substances in an aqueous solution. An apparatus of the present invention has a unit applying a strong magnetic field to a sample and an oscillator applying an electromagnetic wave in a THz field onto the sample. A probe and an observing unit which can bring about nuclear magnetic resonance in the sample and detect it are arranged. An electric signal is sent to a THz-ray oscillator to apply an electromagnetic wave having a resonance frequency of unpaired electron spin of the sample onto the sample. An electric characteristic of the nuclear magnetic resonance is detected to observe a binding change in the sample.
