A seat device for a vehicle is provided in which a dynamic damper is formed of a weight and an elastic member supporting the weight so as to be capable of vibrating, and the elastic member is retained on a frame or a cushion member of a seat installed in the vehicle, wherein the weight is formed into a polyhedron whereas the elastic member is formed into a sheet shape, and the weight is covered and supported by the sheet-shaped elastic member. This enables the weight to be supported simply by the elastic member, and the dynamic damper to be provided at low cost.

Seat device for vehicle

A vehicle seat includes a seat back, a seat cushion, and a system for facilitating relieving of fatigue of a person sitting on the vehicle seat for many hours. The system includes an angle sensor installed within the seat back for sensing variations in an angle of a pelvic region of the person sitting on the vehicle seat, an active device installed within the seat back for pressure-supporting the pelvic region of the person, an actuating device connected to the active device for actuating the active device and a sequential control unit electrically connected to the angle sensor and the actuating device for controlling the operation of the actuating device, the angle sensor being constructed so as to send the sequential control unit signals representing values of variations in the angle of the pelvic region of the person, the sequential control unit being constructed such that, when a value represented by a signal sent to the sequential control unit from the angle sensor is more than a predetermined value, the sequential control unit sends the actuating device a command to actuate the actuating device, whereby the active device is actuated, to thereby control supporting pressure that is applied to the pelvic region of the person.

Vehicle seat with system for facilitating relieving of fatigue of person sitting on the seat

A reclining seat includes a seat cushion, a seat back pivotally mounted to the seat cushion, first and second locking mechanisms arranged at both sides of the seat for securing the seat back relative to the seat cushion, and a supporting shaft interconnecting the first and second locking mechanisms, the supporting shaft having first and second end portions, the first locking mechanism including a first actuating shaft for facilitating selective securing of the seat back relative to the seat cushion, the second locking mechanism including a second actuating shaft for facilitating selective securing of the seat back relative to the seat cushion, the first actuating shaft being rigidly or fixedly connected to the first end portion of the supporting shaft, and the second actuating shaft being connected to the second end portion of the supporting shaft so that the second actuating shaft and the supporting shaft are rotatable by a predetermined angle relative to each other.
