An electrical switchgear having a position detector that detects the state of actuation of switch contacts and a position detector which judges the locking engagement condition of the switch contacts, wherein these position detectors are connected with an optical control unit by an optical cable.

Electrical switchgear

A bushing in air is supported upright on one end of a horizontal tank, and a center conductor extending in the bushing is connected to one terminal of a circuit breaker accommodated in the tank. A tank of a disconnecting switch is disposed to extend in the axial direction of the circuit breaker tank and is coupled to the other end thereof through an annular current transformer and also via gas-tight means. A bushing support tank disposed to extend along the ground surface is coupled via gas-tight means to the other end of the disconnecting switch tank. Another bushing in air is supported upright on the bushing support tank. A grounding switch is provided inside the bushing support tank. A center conductor extending in the second bushing is connected to an arrester through a removable conductor.

Gas-insulated switchgear

A gas-insulated switching apparatus is disclosed which includes a circuit breaker having a breaking section with at least a couple of mutually detachable contacts and a grounded tank containing the breaking section and filled with an insulating gas, the grounded tank being maintained at earth potential. A first bushing is vertically mounted on one side of the grounded tank, the central conductor of the first bushing being connected with one of the contact of the breaking section. A disconnecting switch has insulating gas sealed in it and accommodates a disconnecting section in a tank which is arranged connected to but gas-partitioned from the circuit breaker in an axially extending region of the grounded tank on the other side of the region where the first bushing is mounted. A bushing support tank has insulating gas sealed in it and is arranged so that is connected to but gas-partitioned from the disconnecting switch in an axially extending region of the grounded tank on the side of the disconnecting switch which is opposite to that of the circuit breaker. A second bushing is vertically mounted on the bushing support tank and a grounded switch is arranged inside the bushing support tank in a region which is an axially extending region of the circuit breaker. A lightning arrester is arranged gas-partitioned from the bushing support tank below the axis of the circuit breaker and the disconnecting switch but in the direction of this axis. The lightning arrester is electrically connected to the central conductor of the second bushing inside the bushing support tank.

Gas-insulated switching apparatus

A gas-insulated substation comprises at least two transformers arranged side by side on a first floor, gas insulated switching apparatus including disconnecting switches disposed on a second floor at a level different from that of the first floor, and branch bus-bars extending vertically and parallelly from lead boxes which project from facing sides of the respective transformers, the branch bus-bars being connected to the disconnecting switches. The substation further comprises main bus-bars each interconnecting the transformers through the branch bus-bars, i.e. the disconnecting switches, so that a length of the main bus-bar is made to be substantially equal to a distance between the lead boxes projecting from the facing sides of the respective transformers.

Gas-insulated substations

An AC-DC electric power converting station is provided wherein circuit lines consisting of converter transformers/ positive and negative polarity valve structures/ DC reactors/ DC circuit breakers are of L-shape and inverted L-shape. The positive and negative polarity valve structures are so arranged that their surfaces in the longitudinal direction face each other. The converting transformers are arranged along the other surfaces of the positive and negative polarity valve structures in the longitudinal direction thereof. The DC reactors and DC circuit breakers are series-connected in the vicinities of the outputs in the direction of width of the positive and negative polarity valve structures. AC and DC switchgears of gas insulated type are arranged to face each other so that they sandwich the positive and negative polarity valve structures therebetween. Conduit air cables connect the positive and negative polarity valve structures and the AC and DC switchgears.

AC-DC Electric power converting station

A gas filled bushing is disclosed as comprising an outer grounded shield, an inner grounded shield and an intermediate potential shield mounted on the inner grounded shield by means of an axial insulator and extending between the inner grounded shield and a central conductor. In a modified embodiment a plurality of intermediate potential shields are disposed concentrically between the central conductor and the inner grounded shield so as to more efficiently control the potential distribution along the outer surface of the bushing.
