In a screen printing apparatus, a squeegee is slid on a mask contacting a board to print paste onto the board via pattern holes formed in the mask. The screen printing apparatus includes: a box-like member including a top-plate portion in which first suction hole is formed and which is allowed to contact a lower surface of the board; a blower suction pipe which communicates with an internal space of the box-like member, and which extends outside the box-like member; a motor which sucks air through the blower suction pipe to generate a blower suction force in the first suction hole; and an inverter which changes frequencies of the motor.

Screen printing apparatus

In a screen printing apparatus, a squeegee is slid on a mask contacting a board to print paste onto the board via pattern holes formed in the mask. The screen printing apparatus includes: a box-like member including a top-plate portion in which first suction hole and a second section hole are formed and which is allowed to contact the board; a blower suction pipe communicating with an internal space of the box-like member and extending outside the box-like member; a blower suction source sucking air through the blower suction pipe to generate a blower suction force in the first suction hole; a vacuum suction pipe connected to the second suction hole and extending through the internal space to an outside of the box-like member; and a vacuum pressure supplying device supplying a vacuum pressure to the second suction hole through the vacuum suction pipe.

A challenge to be met by the present invention is to provide a screen printer arranged so as to be able to readily perform both replacement of squeegees and operation for filling a paste feed syringe with paste. A paste feed syringe () is configured so as to be able to sway around an axial line () that downwardly extends from a squeegee base () with respect to a horizontal line (HL) parallel to a direction of reciprocal movement of the squeegee base (), and also be able to change its position between a paste feed attitude having an imaginary extension within a vertical plane at an oblique angle such that a nozzle () provided at a lower end of the paste feed syringe comes to a position immediately below squeegees () and a storage attitude which is turned from the paste feed attitude through about 90 degrees around an axial line ().

A holding mechanismis made up of a shaft supportthat is provided while joined to a joint and that has a vertically-oriented pivot, a shaft memberthat horizontally extends from the shaft supportand that is turnable around the pivot, and a fitting sectionthat is formed in a squeegee unitand to which the shaft memberis removably fitted. Thereby, the entirety of the squeegee unitbecomes removably attachable by only moving the squeegee unitin a horizontal direction.
