A liquid ejection head includes: a casing, which is hollow, and has an opening at one end; a lid member, which is fixed to an end portion of the opening of the casing; and a member arranged inside the casing. The lid member has a liquid supply port. The member has a first liquid guide groove, and the casing has a second liquid guide groove. The second liquid guide groove extends from the end portion of the opening to a side opposite to the opening in the side wall inner surface of the casing, the first liquid guide groove extends to a side surface of the member which is in contact with or close to the side wall inner surface of the casing, and the first liquid guide groove and the second liquid guide groove are located so as to allow fluid communication therebetween.

A compression member is used to press a first outer surface of a negative pressure generating member which contacts a surface of a partition wall and to press a second outer surface of the negative pressure generating member which contacts an inner surface of a first recessed portion located opposite the partition wall. The negative pressure generating member is placed in the first recessed portion with releasing the pressure exerted on the first outer surface while maintaining the pressure exerted on the second outer surface. After the negative pressure generating member is placed in the first recessed portion, the pressure exerted on the outer surface of the negative pressure generating member is released.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing liquid container

The present invention enables a suitable ink filling state of an ink tank to be achieved by setting ink filling conditions taking prevention of ink leakage during unsealing of an ink supply port into account. An ink tank includes a first storage chamber formed in the ink tank to store an ink absorber, and a second storage chamber also formed in the ink tank to substantially form a closed space except for a communication section communicating with the first storage chamber. After the pressure in the ink tank is reduced to a target pressure through an atmospheric communicating port, the ink tank is internally filled, through an ink supply port, with a target filling amount of ink associated with the target pressure.

An ink absorption member is inserted into a tank case and positioned to define an open space V between its bottom surface and the tank case bottom. Sequentially, then, one ink injection needle is inserted through the ink absorption member in the tank case until the tip enters the open space V. Thereafter, ink injection is begun by supplying ink through the injection needle tip. As this process proceeds, the open space V is filled with ink, the upper surface of which serves as an interface, parallel to the tank case bottom. This parallel state is maintained as the ink permeates the ink absorption member, so that the process can be uniformly completed. Further, since the open space V is filled first, the ink injection speed is not overly slow, when compared with a process during which ink is directly injected into the ink absorption member.

Method of manufacturing liquid storage container

A vibration welding apparatus vibrates a vibration-side processing member when the vibration-side processing member comes into pressure-contact with a fixing-side processing member, and the vibration-side processing member and the fixing-side processing member are welded. The vibration welding apparatus includes a first clamp unit for clamping the processing member on the vibration side, a second clamp unit for clamping the processing member on the fixing side, a vibration unit for vibrating the first clamp unit, and a release unit for releasing a state in which the first clamp unit clamps the vibration-side processing member. The first clamp unit moves a pressing member with elastic force of an elastic member, and presses the vibration-side processing member to clamp the vibration side processing member, and the release unit is disposed independently of the first clamp unit, and separates the vibration-side processing member pressed under the elastic force of the elastic member.

Vibration welding apparatus

An ink jet print head manufacturing method and an ink jet print head are provided in which a shape of an adhesive that bonds a support member and a print element substrate together is controlled to maintain a high level of ink ejection performance even if the print element substrate is reduced in size. The adhesive, after being disposed between the support member and the print element substrate, is elongated and then hardened. This process allows the shape of the adhesive to be controlled, securing a sufficient ink path between an ink supply port on the support member side and an ink introducing port on the print element substrate side.
