A hollow telescopic fishing rod has a rod body made from resin and reinforcing fibers. The rod body has an inner circumferential surface, wherein concave surface portions and convex surface portions are formed in the inner circumferential surface of the rod body. The reinforcing fibers are applied to the convex surface portions in the circumferential direction.

Pass-through fishing rod and method of manufacturing same

A pass-through fishing rod has a rod body made from resin and reinforcing fibers. The rod body has an inner circumferential surface, wherein concave surface portions and convex surface portions are formed in the inner circumferential surface of the rod body. The reinforcing fibers are applied to the convex surface portions in the circumferential direction.

A fishing rod includes a tubular rod, an inner rod, and fishline guides. The inner rod has a fishline guiding passage therethrough, and is fitted in or detached from the tubular rod. The fishline guides project toward a center axis in the fishline guiding passage, and are fitted in or detached from the tubular rod. When the inner rod and the fishline guides are attached in the tubular rod, fishline is held by the fishline guides within the tubular rod, and it is drawn out or pulled back through an opening at the tip of the rod. When the inside of the rod is to be cleaned, the inner rod and the fishline guides are taken out of the tubular rod, and they are easily cleaned.

A pass-through fishing rod comprising a line support and retainers prevents a fishing line from contacting the inner surface of a rod or water adhering to the inner surface and enables the line to be drawn out and rolled up smoothly. The line support pitch of the line support supporting a fishing line is smaller than the retention pitch of the retainers for retaining the line support spaced from the inner surface of the rod.

Pass-through fishing rod

A guide for use on a fishing rod includes a guide ring placed in contact with an outer surface of a rod stock for guiding a fishing line, and a holder for fixing the guide ring to the rod stock. The guide is manufactured by placing the guide ring in contact with an outer surface of the rod stock, arranging dies to surround the guide ring and rod stock, and injecting a plastic inside the dies, thereby forming the holder from the plastic. As an alternative to the use of dies, prepreg may be wound in a way to fasten the guide ring to the rod stock, and baked to harden, thereby forming the holder.

Guide for use on a fishing rod

A fishing rod includes a butt ring member integrally formed and fixed on a rear end of a rod body. The integral formation is preferably done by use of a mold. The fishing rod may include a molded line guide. The fishing rod may also include a molded reel seat.

A fishing rod is manufactured by forming a tubular small diameter portion on an outer surface of a rod material. The small diameter portion is formed continuous with and between a pair of walls substantially perpendicular to an axis of the rod material. Then a seat base is formed by placing a pair of dies around the small diameter portion and injecting a heated thermoplastic resin into a cavity (inside space) defined by the dies.
