A power supply circuit capable of reducing the power consumption during the standby state of an electric appliance. The power supply circuit for supplying the electric appliance with voltages to drive and control the electric appliance, includes a controller for controlling the operation of the electric appliance, a DC-DC converter for outputting a fixed voltage V.sub.1 and a variable voltage V.sub.2, and a regulator for converting the fixed voltage V.sub.1 derived from the DC-DC converter into a specified voltage and supplying the specified voltage to the controller 16 for the electric appliance. The DC-DC converter identifies the state of the air conditioner. When the electric appliance is identified to be in the standby state, the DC-DC converter reduces the fixed voltage V.sub.1, which is inputted to the regulator to a voltage lower than a voltage outputted in the operative state.

A thermal image detecting system includes a moving part having pyroelectric thermal detection element, a chopper for opening/closing a path of infrared rays and a chopper temperature detection element, a rotating section for rotating the moving part, a drive control section for driving the chopper and the rotating section, a band amplifier for amplifying a detection signal from the pyroelectric thermal detection element, a timing output section for outputting a signal synchronous with an opening/closing operation of the chopper, a peak detection section for successively holding the maximum value and the minimum value of a signal from the band amplifier, and an operational processing section for performing operational processing on a thermal image signal on the basis of a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value or a difference between a reference signal from the band amplifier in a closed state of the chopper and the maximum value, or the minimum value and the temperature of the chopper.

The present invention is a pressure-electrical signal conversion means comprising a diaphragm assembly which is moved in accordance with the difference of pressure between two compartments therein, illumination means able to direct light in a band onto a photosensitive unit which includes two elements so disposed that when any particular band of the photosensitive area is illuminated the illuminated area of one element is greater than that of the other, this photosensitive element produces an output proportional to the relative size of the illuminated areas of these elements, the photosensitive unit and illumination means being movable relative to one another in proportion to the movement of the diaphragm.
