An ultraviolet/infrared absorbent low transmittance glass is formed of base glass containing 65 to 80 wt. % SiO; 0 to 5 wt. % AlO; greater than 2.1 to less than or equal to 10 wt. % MgO; 5 to 15 wt. % CaO wherein a total amount of MgO and CaO is 7 to 15 wt. %; 10 to 18 wt. % NaO; 0 to 5 wt. % KO wherein a total amount of NaO and KO is 10 to 20 wt. %; and 0 to 5 wt. % BO, and colorants including 1.25 to 2.2 wt. % total iron oxide (T-FeO) expressed as FeO; 0.001 to 0.018 wt. % CoO; 0 to 0.0004 wt. % Se; and 0.028 to 0.2 wt. % NiO, wherein the glass has a turquoise blue or deep green color.

Ultraviolet/infrared absorbent low transmittance glass

A high transmittance glass sheet is provided that is formed of a soda-lime-silica glass composition containing, expressed in wt. %, less than 0.020% of total iron oxide in terms of FeOand 0.006 to 2.0% of zinc oxide. The glass sheet allows the formation of nickel sulfide particles to be suppressed by the addition of a zinc compound to a glass raw material.

High transmittance glass sheet and method of manufacturing the same

The present invention is to provide a high transmittance glass sheet that has a composition containing as coloring components, expressed in wt. %, 0.005 to less than 0.02% of total iron oxide in terms of FeO, less than 0.008% of FeO, and 0 to 0.25% of cerium oxide and having a ratio of FeO in terms of FeOto the total iron oxide of lower than 40%, and exhibits high visible light transmittance and solar radiation transmittance. Alternatively, a high transmittance glass sheet is provided that contains not more than 0.06% of total iron oxide and 0.025 to 0.20% of cerium oxide and has a ratio of a fluorescence intensity at 395 nm to a fluorescence intensity at 600 nm of 10% or higher when subjected to ultraviolet irradiation at a wavelength of 335 nm.

Flat glass having high transmittance

A high transmittance glass sheet is provided that is formed of a soda-lime-silica glass composition containing, expressed in wt. %, less than 0.020% of total iron oxide in terms of Fe O and 0.006 to 2.0% of zinc oxide. The glass sheet allows the formation of nickel sulfide particles to be suppressed by the addition of a zinc compound to a glass raw material.

FeO expressed as Fe O is 5 to 10 wt. % (excluding 10 wt. %) of T&mdash;Fe O , and the glass at any thickness in a range of 3.25 mm to 6.25 mm has visible light transmittance of equal to or more than 80% when measured by using CIE illuminant A.

Ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass, an ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate, a colored film-coated ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate and a window glass of a vehicle

Light-colored high-transmittance glass is provided which is made of a composition containing, as coloring components, on a weight percent basis, 0.02 to 0.06% (excluding 0.06%) total iron oxide based on Fe O , less than 0.024% FeO, and 0 to 0.5% cerium oxide and having a ratio of FeO based on Fe O to the total iron oxide of less than 40%. The light-colored high-transmittance glass has a solar radiation transmittance of at least 87.5% and a visible light transmittance measured with the illuminant C of at least 90% when having a thickness of 3.2 mm. A glass sheet with a conductive film also is provided which includes a transparent conductive film formed on a surface of a glass sheet formed of the light-colored high-transmittance glass.

An ultraviolet/infrared absorbent low transmittance glass consists of base glass, and colorants. The base glass comprises 65 to 80 wt. % SiO ; 0 to 5 wt. % Al O ; greater than 2 to less than or equal to 10 wt. % MgO; 5 to 15 wt. % CaO wherein a total amount of MgO and CaO is 7 to 15 wt. %; 10 to 18 wt. % Na O; 0 to 5 wt. % K O wherein a total amount of Na O and K O is 10 to 20 wt. %; and 0 to 5 wt. % B O . The colorants without Se is formed of 1.25 to 2.2 wt. % total iron oxide (T&mdash;Fe O ) expressed as Fe O ; 0.001 to 0.03 wt. % CoO; and 0.003 to 0.2 wt. % NiO. The glass has a turquoise blue or deep green color, and exhibits low or middle visible light transmittance, low total solar energy transmittance and low ultraviolet transmittance.
