An apparatus for making a booklet-like product comprises a paper feeding part; a superposing part for superposing a plurality of continuous webs of paper fed to travel from the paper feeding part, whereby a layered continuous sheet of paper is prepared; a cutting part for cutting the layered continuous sheet into successive separate layered sheets of paper; a conveyance passage; and a stacking and ejection part for causing the separate layered sheets traveling along the conveyance passage to be piled every predetermined number thereof and to be ejected in the form of piles of sheets, each to form the booklet-like product. The superposing part is provided with a paste nozzle for applying paste to one of two adjacent such continuous webs of paper on its one side and a further paste nozzle for applying paste to the upper surface of the layered continuous sheet.

Apparatus for making a booklet-like product

An optical pickup objective lens system for collecting a laser beam emitted from a light source onto a recording surface of an optical recording medium includes three lenses having negative, positive and negative powers sequentially, or positive, negative and positive powers sequentially in the order from the side of the light source toward the optical recording medium. The three lenses are bonded to one another through two joint faces, and each of the two joint faces is formed into an aspherical shape. Thus, the chromatic aberration can be corrected satisfactorily. Especially, even when a laser beam having a short wavelength is used, the recording and replaying of information can be carried out reliably and stably.

An imaging lens system includes a first lenswhich is a meniscus lens with its convex face turned toward the object side and having a positive power, a diaphragm, and a second lenswhich is a meniscus lens with its concave face turned toward the object side. Imaging lens system

An imaging lens system includes, in the named order from the side of an object toward an image surface, a light amount diaphragm, a first lens having a positive power with a main power on the side closer to the image surface, a meniscus-shaped second lens having a negative power with a strong concave surface turned toward the image surface. Thus, it is possible to provide the imaging lens system in which a sufficiently high resolution can be obtained, while meeting the demand for a reduction in entire length of an optical system to provide the compactness.

Provided in the present invention are an image pickup lens and a design method thereof which can achieve miniaturization of the system and capable of remarkably improving the optical characteristic with a simple structure. By forming a second face on the image pickup surface side of a lens body into a Fresnel face and unifying a diffraction element with at least a first face on the object face side or the second face on the image pickup surface side of the lens body, it becomes possible to correct the Petzval sum and reduce the curvature of the field so that an excellent image plane can be obtained. Also, due to the color dispersion characteristic of the diffraction element, chromatic aberration can be well corrected. Thereby, the optical characteristic of the image pickup lens can be remarkably improved.

Image pickup lens and design method thereof

In an image pickup lens including a lens body, at least one of faces of the lens body is formed into an aspherical shape, and at least one of a first face of the lens body adjacent an object and a second face of said lens body adjacent an image pickup surface is a Fresnel face. Thus, the image pickup lens can be reduced in size, and the optical characteristics of the image pickup lens can be enhanced remarkably in a simple structure.

An image pickup lens system according to the present invention includes a lens body having a positive power and a diaphragm which is unified with the lens body at a location between the first face and the second face of the lens body and of which inner cylindrical surface is disposed at a location of the inside of the lens body. Thus, the numbers of the elements of the image pickup lens system are decreased and the image pickup lens system can be produced accurately. Moreover, when the lens body and the diaphragm are unified each other, both optical axes of the lens body and the diaphragm can be very accurately adjusted and automatically adjusted. Thus, a work to adjust accurately those optical axes is not necessary so that the lens body and the diaphragm can be produced easily and speedy. Moreover, by disposing the actual diaphragm, this invention can prevent the occurrence of the stray light such a flare and a ghost and the like and can actually remove the stray light if it occurs.

Image pickup lens system

An image pickup lens system comprises a first lens which has a concave face formed on the side of an object in the vicinity of an optical axis, and which has a positive power, a diaphragm, a second lens having a negative power, and a third lens having a positive power. The first lens, the diaphragm and the second and third lenses are disposed sequentially from the side of the objects. If the image pickup lens system is formed in the above manner, a desired optical performance can be maintained, and a sufficient back focal length can be ensured, while a high telecentric property can be ensured. Moreover, various aberrations can be corrected satisfactorily, and the image pickup lens system can be produced easily.

An image pickup lens system according to the present invention includes a diaphragm, a first lens which has a convex fact formed on the side of an image surface in the vicinity of an optical axis and which has a positive power and radii of curvature at a center, whose signs are not opposite from each other, a second lens which has a convex face formed on the side of an object in the vicinity of the optical axis and which has a negative power and radii of curvature at a center, whose signs are not opposite from each other, and a third lens which has a convex face formed on the side of the image surface in the vicinity of the optical axis and which has a positive power. The diaphragm and the first, second and third lenses are disposed sequentially from the side of the object, and the first face of at least the second lens being formed into an aspherical shape. Thus, each of various aberrations can be corrected satisfactorily, while maintaining a desired optical performance and ensuring a wider angle of view, and the image pickup lens system can be produced easily.

In a biconvex lens,, at least one of faces thereof is formed into an aspherical shape, so that the radius of curvature of the second face of the lens,is equal to or larger than 0.65 times the focal length, and the radius of curvature of the first face is over 3 times the radius of curvature of the second face. Thus, the lens can be produced easily at a small size and a light weight.

An image pickup lens system includes a first lens which is a concave lens having those radii of curvature of faces at the center thereof, which are not of the same sign, and a second lens which is a convex lens. The first face of at least the first lens is formed into an aspherical shape. The focal length of the entire lens system is set in a range of from 0.67 times the back focal length to 1.45 times the back focal length, and the focal length of the second lens is set in a range of 0.25 times the focal length of the first lens to 0.8 times the focal length of the first lens. Thus, it is possible to ensure the back focal length, while shortening the focal length of the image pickup lens system, and to easily produce the image pickup lens system.

A surface light source device comprising at least one light source, a transparent panel, a diffusing panel and a reflecting surface. This surface light source device is configured so that brightness is enhanced in a direction perpendicular to the diffusing panel by disposing, on the side of a front surface of the transparent panel, a transparent sheet which has protrusions having a saw-tooth-like sectional shape formed on one surface thereof.
