Cast mold fabrication device

The binder coated refractories comprises the refractory aggregates and the solid-form coating layer which comprises the sugar group as the binder and which is provided to the surface of the refractory aggregates. According to this, the sugar group is used as the binder for bonding the refractory aggregates. Further, even if the sugar group is thermally decomposed, the sugar group emits the carbon dioxide and the water. Therefore, there is little likelihood of emitting the harmful gas. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the environmental pollution. Further, the sugar group is thermally decomposed easily. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture the casting mold having the good breaking property.

Binder coated refractories, casting mold using the same, and method of manufacturing casting mold using the same

To provide a casting mold manufacturing apparatus using steam heating. The apparatus includes a forming die having a cavity, a resin-coated sand supply section for supplying a resin-coated sand into the cavity, a steam supply section for supplying steam into the cavity, and a steam discharge section for discharging the steam from the cavity. At least a portion of the forming die is composed of a porous material having pores with an average diameter smaller than an average particle diameter of the resin-coated sand. At least a portion of the steam is supplied into the cavity through the porous material. Since it is possible to uniformly supply the steam into the cavity, a homogeneous casting mold can be manufactured.

Apparatus and method for producing casting mold

An apparatus and a method for producing a casting mold are provided, according to which the casting mold having a complex shape can be obtained with stable quality. The apparatus comprises a mold having a cavity therein, a steam supply unit, a steam supply passage connected to the cavity, steam discharge passages, flow regulators disposed in the steam discharge passages to regulate an amount of the steam discharged from the cavity, and a control unit for controlling the flow regulators. After a resin-coated sand prepared by coating a refractory aggregate with a binder resin is injected into the cavity of the heated mold, superheated steam is supplied into the cavity. At this time, the control unit controls the flow regulators such that the cavity is uniformly filled with the superheated steam.

A carbon-phenol resin molding compound is provided, which is preferably used to obtain molded articles having high electrical and thermal conductivities as well as good mechanical strength. The resin molding compound is prepared by reacting a phenol with an aldehyde in the presence of a catalyst, while mixing them with a carbon powder such that a content of the carbon powder in the molding compound is 75 wt % or more. The catalyst is at least one selected from tertiary amines, carbonates, hydroxides and oxides of alkali metals or alkali earth metals.

A phenol resin-impregnated sheet formed by impregnating a porous resin sheet with a phenol resin having a degree of cure of from 70% to 95% is arranged on and lamininated to the surface of a carbon fiber-reinforced thermosetting resin sheet. The thickness of the phenol resin impregnated sheet is between 0.01 mm and 1.0 mm. A very even, strong and water-proof wood reinforcing material is obtained. The wood reinforcing material is intergrated and cured on the surface of the wood material by the phenol resin-impregnated sheet to reinforce wood material (single board or bonded board) to form a reinforced wood material. The wood reinforcing material adheres suitably with the wood material and does not cause environmental contamination.

An electromagnetic wave shielding material comprises a composite carbon-resin compound obtained by reacting to proceed polymerization of a resin forming material with carbon powder intermixed therewith. The resulting compound has carbon powder substantially uniformly dispersed in the resin and exhibit superior electromagnetic wave shielding effect, in addition to good fire resistance. The resin may be phenol, melamine, furan or the like, and the carbon powder is preferred to be incorporated at a content of not less than 40% of the total weight.
