A tissue puncture closure device includes a carrier tube, a suture, an anchor, and a sealing pad. The sealing pad maintains a constant or substantially constant shape from when positioned in the carrier tube to when removed from the carrier tube and positioned adjacent to the tissue wall puncture in a post-deployment position. The suture may retain the anchor and sealing pad in contact with the tissue wall without altering a shape of the sealing pad.

Compactionless tissue puncture closure device and methods

Guide wire extension connecting means are described in which a stretchable tube acts as the connecting element. The stretchable tube has a lumen or recess into which the guide wire is inserted. As withdrawal of the guide wire is attempted, the connecting element stretches and collapses, thereby grabbing the guide wire and resisting withdrawal.

Guide wire extension

A ureteral stent for maintaining drainage of urine between the kidney and the bladder including an elongated flexible silicone tubular member having a series of helical coils on its distal end, the longitudinal axis of which is parallel to the tubular member. A retention coil is formed on the proximal end of the tubular member for reception in the renal pelvis and drainage holes are formed along the length of the stent. The stent is straightened for insertion by means of a wire guide.

Helical ureteral stent

A molding composition processable into a vulcanized elastomeric article such as a solid rubber tire, for example, is formed by mixing together previously vulcanized scrap rubber, a vulcanizing agent such as sulfur, and suitable quantities of accelerator and/or activator. The mixture is then vulcanized under heat and pressure. An alternatively preferred embodiment of the instant invention comprises the addition of a small amount of virgin rubber to the composition.
