A rotor assembly for a motor includes at least one magnet, a magnet support having an end region, a rotor shaft and an over-molded body affixed to the at least one magnet and the magnet support. The over-molded body includes a first end and a second end. The rotor shaft may be disposed proximate to the first end of the over-molded body and the second end of the over-molded body is proximate to the end region of the magnet support.

Integrated rotor

A rotor for a motor includes a sensor ring, a rotor shaft and an over-molded body configured to couple the sensor ring to the rotor shaft. The rotor may further include at least one magnet and a magnet support where the magnet support is disposed between the at least one magnet and the rotor shaft. The over-molded body couples the sensor ring, the rotor shaft, the magnet support and the at least one magnet to each other.

A rotor yoke includes a casing attachment ring, a sensor ring, and an over-molded body disposed between the casing attachment ring and the sensor ring. The over-molded body couples the sensor ring to the casing attachment mechanism.

Integrated rotor yoke

A heat transfer cooling module is described. One embodiment of the module has a plate attached to a bracket. A tower is affixed the plate. One end of the tower can be in contact with the heat source. The opposite end of the tower has a radiator attached which dissipates the heat that travels from the first end of the tower to the opposite end of the tower. Both the tower and the radiator are made from efficient materials for the transfer of heat. Another embodiment of the heat transfer cooling module is shown where the device is in two pieces, the first a fin module affixed to a bracket. The heat source is in contact with a base of the fin module where the heat travels through the base, to the fins where it dissipates to ambient.

Heat transfer cooling module

A noise reduction clip for a disc brake assembly includes inboard and outboard back walls and dampers. The inboard and outboard back walls are disposed between the caliper and a longitudinal end of the respective inboard or outboard brake pad. The brake pad side of the inboard and outboard back walls is in sliding contact with the longitudinal end of the respective inboard or outboard brake pad. The caliper side of the inboard and outboard back wall faces a respective inboard or outboard surface of the caliper. The inboard and outboard dampers are fixedly attached to the caliper side of the respective inboard or outboard back wall and configured to abut the respective inboard or outboard surface of the caliper. The inboard and outboard dampers are formed of a resilient material.

Noise reduction clip for brake

A brake pad assembly includes a backing plate having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, a brake liner coupled to the first surface of the backing plate and configured to engage a braking surface, and a shim coupled to the second surface of the backing plate, the shim including a planar body portion and a plurality of tabs integrally formed with and extending from the planar body portion. A first tab of the plurality of tabs is configured to secure the shim to the backing plate and to engage the braking surface when the brake liner is worn a predetermined amount.

Brake pad assembly with universal shim

A gearbox housing assembly includes a first plate constructed of a rigid material and defining a first plane. A second plate of the gearbox housing assembly defines a second plane parallel to and spaced from the first plane. The second plate is constructed of a rigid material. A plurality of connectors couples the first plate and the second plate, with an interior space being defined between the first plate and the second plate. A mounting member is coupled to the second plate and has a mounting portion extending away from the interior space. The mounting member is distinct from the second plate to facilitate interchangeability of the mounting member.

Gearbox housing assembly

An improved bearing for an electric motor includes a body portion having an open end configured to receive a portion of an armature shaft of an electric motor therein. In an illustrated embodiment, the bearing also includes a base configured to apply a spring force to an end surface of the armature shaft, and a connecting portion located between the body portion and the base.

Bearing for an electric actuator motor

A housing assembly for an electric motor includes a sealed plastic enclosure having a body portion having a nose and an open end opposite from the nose. The open end provides access to an interior region of the plastic enclosure. The housing assembly also includes a metal sleeve located within the interior region of the plastic enclosure, and a magnet structure located within an interior region of the metal sleeve.

Plastic pole housing for an electric motor

A rolled pole housing for an electric motor includes a sealed enclosure formed by a frame body, a flange and an end cap. Therefore, the rolled pole housing may be used in both sealed and unsealed applications.

Sealed rolled pole housing for an electric motor

An EMI suppressive device. In one embodiment, the EMI suppressive device is electrically connected to an electric motor having a substantially non-conductive shroud and a conductive drive shaft. The EMI suppressive device includes a packaged circuit that suppresses electromagnetic interference and contains one or more signal terminals that connect to the electric motor and one or more ground terminals that connect to ground. The EMI suppressive device also includes a bracket that supports the packaged circuit and has one or more interfaces that interface with one or more of the one or more ground terminals of the packaged circuit, and a conductive element that contacts the shroud and electrically connects to the drive shaft to provide a path to ground.

Packaged circuit module for improved installation and operation

A packaged circuit module. In one embodiment, the packaged circuit module includes an X2Y device having first and second ground terminals, a positive terminal, and a negative terminal. The packaged circuit module also includes a first interface terminal, a second interface terminal, and a bracket. The first interface terminal electrically connects to the positive terminal of the X2Y device and to a first terminal of a motor. The second interface terminal electrically connects to the negative terminal of the X2Y device and to a second terminal of a motor. The bracket connects the first and second ground terminals of the X2Y device and to a grounding structure.

A module for a packaged circuit. In one embodiment, the module includes at least one ground terminal and at least one signal terminal; a circuit board configured to hold the packaged circuit where the circuit board has an interface terminal and one or more traces electrically connecting the at least one signal terminal of the packaged circuit to the interface terminal; and a conductive bracket having a first side, the first side configured to support the circuit board and having at least one clip, the clip configured to hold at least a portion of the circuit board and to contact the at least one ground terminal of the packaged circuit, the conductive bracket configured to provide at least some electromagnetic shielding for the packaged circuit from sources of electromagnetic energy located opposite the first side of the bracket.

A motor housing assembly houses a motor having a casing defining an axial length and an output shaft extending from the casing. The assembly includes a housing defining a cavity with an open end for receiving the motor and a partially closed end opposite the open end. The housing has a length larger than the axial length of the casing such that the entire casing of the motor can be received within the cavity. The assembly further includes an end cap configured to substantially close the open end of the housing and retain the motor in the housing, a first isolator member configured to be sandwiched between the casing and the end cap to substantially isolate the motor from both the housing and the end cap, and a second isolator member configured to be sandwiched between the casing and the housing to substantially isolate the motor from the housing.
