The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for offloading data packets from a first radio access network to a second radio access network. The method comprises monitoring first values of first performance parameters of the first radio access network at different instants of time prior to a predetermined transmission time interval. Then the second values of the one or more first performance parameters are predicted based on the first values. Further, the second values are compared against corresponding predetermined threshold values of the one or more first performance parameters and based on the comparison offloading of the data packets are triggered.

System and method for traffic offloading for optimal network performance in a wireless heterogeneous broadband network

A method and system for neighbor relation management in wireless broadband networks is disclosed. The method includes dynamically selecting, by a Serving Base Station (SBS), a set of signal measurement reports from a plurality of signal measurement reports received within a predefined time interval. The method further includes sampling, by the SBS, signal level values of a plurality of configured Neighboring Base Stations (NBSs) and at least one new NBS, from the set of signal measurement reports, for a predefined sampling time period. The method includes computing, by the SBS, a retention factor for each of the plurality of configured NBSs and each of the at least one new NBS, in response to sampling the signal level values.

This disclosure relates generally to wireless communication systems, and more particularly to methods and systems for admission control in D2D communication in a wireless broadband network. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed for admission control in device-to-device communication in a wireless broadband network. The method may comprise receiving, via the hardware processor, proximity-based device-to-device discovery requests; and classifying, via the hardware processor, the received proximity-based device-to-device discovery requests into bins. The method may further include determining, via the hardware processor, priority levels for the bins; and selecting, via the hardware processor, one of the bins as having a highest priority level. The method may also include identifying in a first-in-first-out manner, via the hardware processor, one of the proximity-based device-to-device discovery requests classified into the selected bin; and generating and providing, via the hardware processor, a proximity-based device-to-device discovery response to the identified proximity-based device-to-device discovery request.

This disclosure relates generally to methods and systems for radio carriers management in a broadband wireless network. In one embodiment, a system for managing radio carriers in a network is provided. The system comprises a memory storing a set of instructions; and a hardware processor configured to execute the set of instructions to receive a trigger for radio carrier assignment determination for a mobile terminal; Upon receiving the trigger, to determine first traffic state information associated with the mobile terminal and second traffic state information associated with a plurality of radio carriers, and determine, based on the first traffic state information, whether to update carrier assignment for the mobile terminal; Upon determining to update carrier assignment for the mobile terminal, determine, based on the second traffic state information, one radio carrier from the plurality of radio carriers, and assign the one radio carrier to the mobile terminal for data communication.

The method may comprise: receiving one or more downlink data packets from a second protocol layer. A method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for managing inter-cell interference in a wireless network is provided. The method may be executed by at least one processor at a small cell gateway and may include receiving, uplink interference power corresponding to a first small cell base station (SCBS). The method may further include receiving neighboring cell information of the first SCBS, the neighboring cell information including information on a first plurality of SCBSs neighboring the first SCBS. The method may further include determining based on the received uplink interference power, that the first SCBS is experiencing inter-cell interference and determining a second plurality of SCBSs from among the first plurality of SCBSs that are interfering with the first SCBS. The method may further include adjusting uplink power allocation corresponding to a second SCBS from among the second plurality of SCBSs.

A method and system for providing session admission control for a new session in a broadband wireless network is provided. The method may include obtaining a guaranteed bit rate, a priority level, and a quality of service class indicator for the new session. The method may further include calculating an available capacity by utilizing the guaranteed bit rate. The method may further include searching through existing sessions for a first plurality of existing sessions having same quality of service class indicator as the new session and priority level lower than the priority level for the new session, if the available capacity is found to be a negative value. The method may include receiving a RACH-Preamble from a mobile device and determining whether a first set of requirements is satisfied for the received RACH-Preamble. The method may further include transmitting a first response to the mobile device when the first set of requirements is satisfied and receiving a RRC connection request from the mobile device after transmitting the first response. The method may further include determining an establishment cause of the RRC connection request and determining whether a second set of requirements corresponding to the establishment cause are satisfied. The method may further include rejecting the RRC connection request when the second set of requirements is not satisfied.
