Device for removable attachment to a mounting rail including a body having first and second lateral members movable along respective first and second slots between a retracted position and an extended position; the first and second lateral members in the extended position include portions extending beyond the body for attachment to the mounting rail; a first lock to lock the first and second lateral members in the extended position with third and fourth lateral members depressible into respective third and fourth slots in the body when the first and second lateral members are in the retracted position and having respective bottom portions that engage respective top edge portions of the first and second lateral members when in the extended position; first and second springs to outwardly bias the respective third and fourth lateral members; and a second lock to prevent longitudinal movement of the body on the mounting rail.

Removable flashlight body or storage container for a firearm

A removable storage container that can be readily mounted on a firearm and in turn be readily removable from the firearm while returning to its original pre-defined shape, to be functional as a separate entity. A storage container comprises a housingthat has a pair of lateral members which can both be moved between a retracted position and an extended position. When the lateral members are in the retracted position, the storage housing has the aforementioned pre-defined shape. When the lateral members are in the extended position, they are locked in the extended position, and are adapted to engage the pre-defined firearm mounting rail configuration, and are prevented from movement in the long axis of the mounting rail.

A light assembly having a pre-defined shape is provided to be removably attached to a guide provided on a weapon. The light assembly comprises a housing provided with a reflector having a lamp at one end thereof and batteries for powering the lamp through a switch. The housing has a pair of lateral members which are movable between a retracted position and an extended position so that, when the members are in the retracted position, the light assembly has the above-mentioned pre-defined shape and when the members are in the extended position, they are adapted to engage the guide. Means for preventing the longitudinal movement of the light assembly on the guide are also provided with the light assembly. The light assembly can thus be easily mounted and used as an aiming device with a weapon or be readily used as a separate and independent entity.

A shotgun comprises a receiver made from a first material; barrel having a portion extending into the receiver and made from a second material; a collar nut securing the barrel to the receiver; a bolt assembly disposed within the receiver and including a locking block configured to project into the barrel portion and lock the bolt assembly to the barrel prior to firing, the bolt assembly including a firing pin; and a trigger mechanism including a hammer for striking the firing pin.

An M16 or commercial equivalent style rifle buttstock is provided with a stowage compartment within the buttstock body for an M4/M16 style firearm or commercial equivalent that utilizes an adjustable receiver extension which is cylindrical with a radially disposed elongated rib. The buttstock can be inserted without any permanent modifications to the host firearm, and is completely reversible. Internal storage for accessories is provided, and the buttstock is able to accept standard M16 style or commercial buttplates, with or without hinged access doors to the stowage compartment. The buttstock provides an improvement to the ajustable buttstock used on M4/M16 style firearms in cold weather which can become frozen in place in the collapsed position and not provide a proper mounting of the carbine relative to the user. Additionally the buttstock provides all of the standard ergonometric relationships of an M16 style firearm or commercial variant for the user.

Fixed style of rifle buttstock for carbines and rifles

A firearm interface for a buttstock and pistol grip that provides a means to attach a pistol grip or a buttstock assembly to a firearm, and shotguns in particular. It can be used for either modality individually or both in combination. It allows the utilization of an M16/M4 style pistol grip and the adjustable, as well as the fixed buttstocks of M4/M16 style rifles and carbines. The buttstock and pistol grip interface confers the ability to configure the firearm to different requirements and to the ergonometric needs of diverse individuals. By facilitating the use of M4/M16 style receiver extensions and M16/M4 style pistol grips the buttstock and pistol grip interface brings a vast array of options to the firearms to which it is affixed. For those individuals with military experience the use of M16/M4 style components imparts a degree of familiarity and utility.

The invention relates to a lock system for firearms whereby an inexpensive, reliable and easy to use locking system is provided as part of a firearm and involves the formation of an opening formed in a strategically located part of the trigger assembly. The opening is appropriately sized and shaped to receive a conventional standard lock having a movable shank which is open and placed through the strategically placed opening in the trigger assembly and thereafter locked in place to affect the inoperative condition of the firearm. The lock can also be mounted as part of a holster which prevents inadvertent firing and removal of the firearm.
