According to an aspect, there is provided a power supply unit, PSU, configured for use in a first radio access network, RAN, node in a communication network. The PSU includes a power supply input interface configured to enable the PSU to be connected to, and receive electrical power from, an electrical power supply; and a power line communication, PLC, unit connected to the power supply input interface and configured to connect to a first baseband, BB, processing unit in the first RAN node. The first BB processing unit is configured for processing baseband signals in the first RAN node. The PLC unit is configured to operate according to a PLC protocol to enable communications between the first BB processing unit and a second BB processing unit in a second RAN node that is also connected to the electrical power supply.

Power supply units and baseband processing units for radio access network nodes

This disclosure provides new parameters for discovery request messages and discovery response messages communicated between a Network Function (NF) consumer (an NFc) () and a Network Repository Function (NRF) () in a core network. The new parameters support the discovery and selection of one or more NF services to be consumed by the NFc. More particularly, when the NFc initiates a discovery request, it identifies a particular NF service type to consume to the NRF. Included in the discovery request message are the new parameters specifying a particular set of one or more quality metrics the NRF is to report to the NFc in the discovery response message. The quality metrics include the most current measurement values for the specified NF service, but may also include historical measurement values spanning a time duration that is specified by the NFc in the discovery request message.

A computer implemented method performed by a node in a communications network for matching parameters in a target network configuration with corresponding key performance indicators, KPIs, in the communications network. A method and system for deployment of services for customers. Network service templates (NSTs) are determined, from a permissioned distributed ledger that is distributed between network operator systems of one or more network operators and customer systems. The NSTs include respective descriptions of network characteristics that provide respective logical networks. A subset of the NSTs and a corresponding subset of the network operator systems are selected based on a service description of the first service for deployment of the first service. Instantiation of the subset of the NSTs is requested on the corresponding subset of network operator systems as a subset of network slice instances to form the first service deployed for the first customer.

Network slice instance provisioning based on a permissioned distributed ledger

An operator system of a wireless communication network operator sends, to a regulator system of a regulator, a record that includes information about administration of a subscription identifier associated with the wireless communication network operator. Responsive to sending the record to the regulator system, the operator system receives a response that indicates whether the regulator system approves of or rejects the record being added to a permissioned distributed database that is distributed at least in part between the regulator system and the operator system. Administration of subscription identifiers in a wireless communication network

Subscriber records include a hardware identifier assigned when the devices are manufactured. Method and system for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across multiple network systems. Update information of a first local root cause analysis mechanism is received. An RCA controller generates, based on the update information, a new node to be added to a global root cause decision tree, where the global root cause decision tree is to be shared by at least two of the plurality of network operators. The RCA controller requests storage of the new node in a distributed ledger that is shared by network operators. The RCA controller participates in a verification operation of the new node. Method and system for root cause analysis across multiple network systems

A regulator system () of a regulator regulates administration of subscription identifiers. The regulator system () is configured to receive, from either an operator system () of a wireless communication network operator or an enterprise system of an enterprise, a record that includes information about administration of a subscription identifier associated with the wireless communication network operator.
