A device and system for providing a centered lumen within a catheter body. A coiled guide lumen (CGL) is composed of a length of wire forming a plurality of coils about the longitudinal axis of the CGL, the CGL including one or more first sections having a first diameter and one or more sections having a second diameter, the second diameter being greater than the first diameter, and a secondary guide lumen extending through the first sections. The CGL may include at least one pull wire extending through the secondary guide lumen and attached at the distal portion of the catheter body. A band may be coupled to an interior of the catheter body distal portion, each of the pull wires being coupled to the annular band. Alternatively, the system may further include a shim coupled to the band, each of the pulls wire being coupled to the shim.

Centering coiled guide

A system and device for cryoablation of tissue that is suitable for use within an MRI environment. The device may include an elongate body, a treatment element at the distal portion of the elongate body, and one or more pull fibers. The pull fibers may be composed of a non-ferromagnetic material, such as a polymer. Likewise, none of the other device components may be composed of a ferromagnetic material. The device may also include at least one fiber optic sensor. The elongate body distal portion may include a distal tip to which the pull fibers are directly coupled. Additionally or alternatively, the elongate body may include one or more pull fiber lumens configured to allow the pull fibers to deflect the distal portion when a pull force is exerted on the pull fibers.

MRI-compatible cryocatheters and system

The present invention provides a medical device that may include a catheter body having proximal and distal portions, a fluid injection lumen disposed within elongate body, and a guidewire lumen disposed within the elongate body. A tip portion defining a cavity in fluid communication with the fluid injection lumen may be coupled to the distal end of the guidewire lumen, and an expandable element may be coupled to the distal portion of the catheter body and to the tip portion, such that the expandable element is in fluid communication with the fluid injection lumen. A shaping element may at least partially surround the expandable element, where the shaping element is configurable in a first geometric configuration and a second geometric configuration.

Variable geometry cooling chamber

A device, method, and system for adding mapping functionality to an ablation device without adding electrodes, wiring, or other components to the ablation device. The device includes a treatment catheter including a proximal portion and a distal portion, the distal portion including a longitudinal groove. The device also includes a mapping catheter including a proximal portion and a distal portion, the distal portion of the mapping catheter being coupled to the distal portion of the treatment catheter. For example, the distal portion of the mapping catheter is snapped into the groove of the treatment catheter. Together the treatment and mapping catheters are transitionable between a variety of configurations. In this way, the medical device may be used to both treat and map tissue without complicating the design and manufacture of the treatment catheter.

Multi-function device with treatment and sensing capabilities

An accessory and system to provide a medical device with mapping and ablation functionality. The system may include an ablation device with a handle, a treatment element, and an elongate body. The ablation element may be located on the elongate body distal portion, and a mapping sleeve may be disposable about at least part of the distal portion of the ablation device and may include mapping electrodes disposed on the outer surface. The mapping sleeve proximal region may include a retraction element defining a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being coupled to the proximal region of the mapping sleeve, such that retracting the retraction element toward the elongate body proximal portion pulls the mapping sleeve away from the treatment element of the ablation device.

Retractable mapping jacket

An intravascular catheter is provided, including a flexible elongate body; an expandable element positioned on the elongate body; a substantially linear thermal segment located distally of the expandable element; a first fluid flow path in fluid communication with the expandable element; and a second fluid flow path in fluid communication with the substantially linear thermal segment.
