A fast rechargeable battery assembly and a battery recharging equipment configured to recharge a battery in a very short period of time, by using a plurality of independent power supply units which recharge simultaneously a battery split in a plurality of independent battery modules, each one of these having a plurality of battery cells connected to a pair of module independent terminals positive and negative, which are direct connected to an independent power supply unit&#x2014;in recharging mode, and in supplying mode all of these being connected to a battery main terminal. This functionality is realized for on-board recharging by using a contact plate and a plurality of switches, changeover witches and command switches, and for off-board recharging by using a recharging and a supplying contact plate.

Fast rechargeable battery assembly and recharging equipment

The invention provides a new design of an intelligent pooling vehicle and trailer system equipped with an intelligent pooling vehicle and an intelligent electric powered trailer capable to improve the efficiency of the system, avoid off-tracking and make the system more user friendly. The rear powered tires train is capable to turn around a pivot, taking different positions with respect to the trailer. The independent electric motors on each tire of the trailer rear tires train provide additional power to the vehicle and steering capability of the trailer rear tires train. This allows better control of the rear of the trailer and instead to be only pull by the truck, the trailer may be driven by it self, by using different speeds on each of the two tires, avoiding accidents and helping back parking and driving. The system may work in automatic or manual mode.

Pooling vehicle and trailer system

A method of deburring channel inlet edges inside a cavity of a gas diffuser case is disclosed. The diffuser case has a plurality of channels each having an inner surface and an inlet edge defining an inlet of the channel. The surfaces of adjacent channels co-operate to provide said inlet edge therebetween. The inlet edges of the channels are provided in an inwardly facing circular array around a central axis of the gas diffuser case. The method comprises: inserting a tool head having at least one nozzle in the cavity of the gas diffuser case; and then ejecting abrasive particles from at least one nozzle towards at least one of the channel inlet edges of the gas diffuser case to at least one of decrease a radius of at least one said edge and improve a smoothness of at least one said surface.

A gas turbine engine diffuser comprises a bowl-shaped diffuser casing and a cover nested into the bowl-shaped diffuser casing and cooperating therewith in defining a diffuser passage having a channeled entry portion in fluid flow communication with a vaned exit portion via a vaneless intermediate portion. The channeled entry portion is divided into an array of inlet flowpaths by a first set of vanes. Likewise, the vaned exit portion is divided into an array of outlet flowpaths by a second set of vanes.

A centrifugal compressor includes an impeller and a diffuser. The impeller has an inner integral hub with vanes thereon, is adapted to rotate within an outer shroud about a central longitudinal axis, and has a defined hub-to-shroud distribution of fluid exit angles. The diffuser, downstream from the impeller, comprises a plurality of circumferentially spaced discrete passages at least partially defining fluid paths through the diffuser, and angled such that adjacent discrete passages intersect each other to form an annular semi-vaneless diffuser inlet space. The discrete passages downstream of the semi-vaneless space each have an inlet therefrom and an outlet with a greater cross-sectional area than the inlet. The intersection of the annular semi-vaneless space and each discrete passage defines a leading edge thereof. Each discrete passage is defined by a wall bounding a cross-sectional area, the wall comprising at least a first substantially rectilinear portion and a second opposed convexly curved portion; the first substantially rectilinear portion is adjacent the hub of the impeller and the second opposed convexly curved portion is adjacent the outer shroud. The leading edge of each discrete diffuser passage provides a close incidence angle match with the fluid exit angles of the impeller.

The invention provides a diffuser assembly constructed of internal and external concentrically nested bowl-shaped shells for directing an outward flow of compressed air from a centrifugal compressor impeller to an axially rearward diffused annular flow. One of the shells is formed with grooves separated by seam edges and the other shell includes a smooth surface of revolution. The grooves on the one shell are closed by the other shell when the two shells are nested together and the seam edges are secured to the smooth surface by fastening means thus defining individual diffuser ducts extending from the compressor impeller to the outer shell edges. The shells can be easily manufactured from metal castings and sheet metal respectively, thereby eliminating much of the cost and the time involved in fabricating prior art diffusers of multiple formed pipes brazed to a separately machined hub. This construction can be easily reinforced for vibration control and the thickness of diffuser duct walls can be optimized for improved performance and minimum weight. The designers are freed from many of the constraints imposed by conventional diffuser design. The shape and cross-section of the diffuser ducts become completely independent of the manufacturing method, permitting the diffuser duct shape to be optimized for aerodynamic efficiency. The costs of production are reduced since tooling costs and manufacturing complexity are dramatically reduced when only two shell parts are required.
