The laundry processing apparatus according to the present invention allows the transverse dampers coupled structures, and when vibration occurs, the transverse dampers dampen the horizontal vibration and mitigates the vertical vibration through relative motion.

The gearbox includes a sun gear rotatably connected to the drive shaft, planetary gears rotatably engaged with the sun gear, a ring gear rotatably engaged with the planetary gears, a carrier for connecting the planetary gears so as to be rotated along with the planetary gears, a gear housing to which the ring gear is fixed, the gear housing being coupled to the outer pulsator, and a carrier shaft coupled to the inner pulsator. A top-loading-type washing machine including a drum, a drive module for rotating the drum via a drive shaft, inner and outer pulsators placed in the drum to be rotated in opposite directions, and a gearbox connected to the drive shaft for rotating both the pulsators. A laundry treatment apparatus according to the present invention includes a casing; an outer tub disposed in the casing; a support rod connected at one end thereof to the casing; an outer tub support part, which is moved along the support rod and which supports the outer tub; at least one elastic member fixedly disposed on the support rod so as to elastically support the outer tub support part from below; a first friction part disposed above the outer tub support part so as to create frictional force between the support rod and the first friction part; and a housing defining therein a space for accommodating the first friction part, the housing being disposed at the top of the outer tub support part and being moved along with the outer tub support part when the outer tub vibrates, and the housing being independently moved alone when the outer tub support part is moved within a predetermined displacement range and being moved while pushing the first friction part when the outer tub support part is moved beyond the predetermined displacement range.

A vibration limiter of a washing machine is disclosed. The vibration limiter includes a housing installed at one of a cabinet and a tub, a contact plate disposed within the housing such that the contact plate comes into contact with the other of the cabinet and the tub when the tub vibrates, a spring for elastically supporting the contact plate, a rotating member rotatable by at least one of the spring and the contact plate, and an oil damper engaged with the rotating member. The oil damper complementarily acts with the spring, to effectively absorb vibration. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the size of the spring and to secure enhanced reliability even after prolonged use.
