The distance measuring device may include a transmitter configured to emit a sensing signal toward a target object based on a transmission signal; a receiver configured to detect the sensing signal and output a reception signal corresponding to the sensing signal; and a processor configured to correct the reception signal using a baseline having a peak value that varies according to a time index, and determine a distance to the target object based on a cross-correlation signal indicating a cross-correlation between the corrected reception signal and the transmission signal.
