The present invention relates to washing or cleaning agents having improved foaming characteristics under high soil loading, containing at least one anionic surfactant and at least one alkylamidopropyl betaine of formula (R)C(&#x2550;O)NH(CH)N(R)(R)CHCOO, where Ris an alkyl radical having 7 to 9 carbon atoms and Rand Rare identical or different alkyl radicals having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, wherein the weight ratio of the alkylamidopropyl betaine defined herein/total amount of anionic surfactant in the washing or cleaning agent is from 0.003 to 0.12, wherein the weight ratio of the total amount of alkylamidopropyl betaine as defined herein/total amount of alkylamidopropyl betaine in the washing or cleaning agent is 0.25 to 1.0, to washing or cleaning methods in which washing or cleaning agents of this kind are used.

Washing or cleaning composition having improved foaming characteristics with a high level of soiling

The problem addressed by the invention was to provide a foam regulator system containing silicone and/or paraffin and bis-fatty acid amide which would have a low viscosity, which could be handled at low temperatures and which would have a low percentage content of non-foam-regulating ingredients. This problem was largely solved by an aqueous foam regulator emulsion containing 16% by weight to 70% by weight of active foam regulator based on paraffin wax and/or silicone oil, 2% by weight to 15% by weight of nonionic and/or anionic emulsifier and no more than 80% by weight of water. The foam regulator emulsion is preferably used for the production of partiulate foam regulator granules for use in detergents.

Aqueous foam regulator emulsion

A process for producing pourable foam regulator granules containing a defoamer combination of a paraffin wax and a bisamide derived from diamines and carboxylic acids and an inorganic, water-soluble or water-dispersible carrier salt by pelletizing in a granulation mixer with intensive mixing 50 to 100 parts by weight of the inorganic carrier salt optionally with up to 5 parts by weight of an anionic or nonionic cellulose ether, adding 1 to 10 parts by weight of an aqueous alkali metal silicate or polymeric polycarboxylate solution and then adding 10 parts by weight of the defoamer combination heated to a temperature of 70&deg; C. to 180&deg; C.
