A method for transmission of and damping of a mean torque with a superposed alternating torque in a torque transmission arrangement for a powertrain of a motor vehicle having an input and an output. The mean torque with the superposed alternating torque is transmitted along a torque path from the input the output. The input rotates at an input speed and the output rotates at an output speed. A slip arrangement is provided in the torque path between the input and the output for generating a speed slip. The slip arrangement provides a maximum of an external activation of the speed slip in the area of a maxima of at least one periodic oscillation component of an alternating component and provides a minimum of an external activation of the speed slip in the area of a minima of at least one periodic oscillation component of the alternating component (new).

Method for transmitting and dampening torques

A method for the transmission and damping of a mean torque with a superposed alternating torque in an arrangement having an input and an output. The mean torque and superposed alternating torque are transmitted along a path from the input to the output. A slip arrangement is provided in the torque path between the input and the output for transmitting mean torque and superposed alternating torque and for generating a speed slip between an input speed and an output speed in the path. The slip arrangement provides a maximum of an external activation of the speed slip in the area of the maxima of at least one periodic oscillation component of the alternating component and provides a minimum of an external activation of the speed slip in the area of the minima of at least one periodic oscillation component of the alternating component.

Method for transmitting and damping torques

A method for the transmission and damping of a mean torque with a superposed alternating torque having an input and an output. The mean and superposed alternating torque is transmitted along a torque path from the input to the output area. An input speed is a mean speed and a superposed alternating component. A slip arrangement is provided in the torque path between the input and the output for transmitting the mean and superposed alternating torque and generating a speed slip between an input speed and an output speed. The slip arrangement provides a maximum of an external activation of the speed slip in a area of the maxima of at least one periodic oscillation component of the alternating component and provides a minimum of an external activation of the speed slip in an area of the minima of at least one periodic oscillation component of the alternating component.

A torsional vibration damping arrangement comprises an input region to be driven in rotation around an axis of rotation and an output region and a first torque transmission path and parallel thereto a second torque transmission path, both of which proceed from the input region, and a coupling arrangement for superposing the torques conducted via the torque transmission paths, which coupling arrangement communicates with the output region, a phase shifter arrangement for the first torque transmission path for generating a phase shift of rotational irregularities conducted via the first torque transmission path relative to rotational irregularities conducted via the second torque transmission path, and a pendulum mass in the phase shifter arrangement and/or in the coupling arrangement.

Torsional vibration damping arrangement, in particular for the powertrain of a vehicle

A hydrodynamic coupling arrangement, particularly torque converter, includes a housing arrangement which is filled or fillable with fluid, an impeller, a turbine, a lockup clutch, a torsional vibration damping arrangement with an input region and an output region, wherein a first torque transmission path and parallel thereto a second torque transmission path and a coupling arrangement for superposing the torques transmitted via the torque transmission paths are provided between the input region and the output region. The torsional vibration damping arrangement further includes at least in the first torque transmission path a phase shifter arrangement for generating a phase shift of rotational irregularities transmitted via the first torque transmission path relative to rotational irregularities transmitted via the second torque transmission path.

Hydrodynamic coupling device, in particular a torque converter

A torsional vibration damping arrangement, particularly for a drivetrain with an automatic transmission, includes an input region and an output region, wherein a first torque transmission path and parallel thereto a second torque transmission path and a coupling arrangement for superposing the torques transmitted via the torque transmission paths are provided between the input region and the output region. The torsional vibration damping arrangement further includes at least in the first torque transmission path a phase shifter arrangement for generating a phase shift of rotational irregularities transmitted via the first torque transmission path relative to rotational irregularities transmitted via the second torque transmission path.

Torsional vibration damping arrangement

A wet clutch arrangement includes a housing arrangement which is filled or fillable with fluid, a first friction surface formation which is rotatable with the housing arrangement around an axis of rotation and a second friction surface formation which is rotatable with a driven member around the axis of rotation and which can be brought into frictional engagement with the first friction surface formation by a piston pump. At least a portion of a torsional vibration damping arrangement is provided in a torque transmission path and includes an input region and an output region. The torsional vibration damping arrangement further includes at least in a first torque transmission path a phase shifter arrangement for generating a phase shift of rotational irregularities transmitted via the first torque transmission path relative to rotational irregularities transmitted via a second torque transmission path.

Hydrodynamic clutch device

A hydrodynamic coupling arrangement, particularly torque converter, comprises a housing arrangement () which is filled or fillable with fluid, an impeller (), a turbine (), a lockup clutch (), a torsional vibration damping arrangement () with an input region () and an output region (), wherein a first torque transmission path () and parallel thereto a second torque transmission path () and a coupling arrangement () for superposing the torques transmitted via the torque transmission paths () are provided between the input region () and the output region (), wherein the torsional vibration damping arrangement () further includes at least in the first torque transmission path () a phase shifter arrangement () for generating a phase shift of rotational irregularities transmitted via the first torque transmission path () relative to rotational irregularities transmitted via the second torque transmission path.

A clutch disk for a friction clutch includes a friction lining carrier and at least one friction lining element, which is connected to the friction lining carrier for rotation in common with it, and which can shift in the circumferential direction relative to this carrier against the pretensioning effect of a restoring arrangement. The disk also includes a friction device, which generates a frictional force acting in opposition to the displacement of the friction lining element relative to the friction lining carrier.

Clutch disk for a friction clutch

A friction clutch assembly has a clutch housing, at least one first friction plate, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the clutch housing and can be displaced in axial direction therein, and a second friction plate, which bears the clutch housing. At least one driver disk is arranged axially adjacent to the first and second friction plates and has friction linings on both sides, which interact with the friction plates, and a spring which can apply a compressive force for actuation of the clutch to the at least one first friction plate. At least one of the friction plates is made at least in part from a metal matrix and at least one nonmetallic foreign phase included in the matrix, which together form a metal matrix composite material. In a further aspect of the invention, the clutch housing is likewise formed from a metal matrix composite material.

Friction clutch assembly

A friction clutch, particularly for a motor vehicle, has a rotatable clutch disk which is connected to a transmission input shaft so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it and which can be clamped in axially between two clutch pressure plates. The pressure plates, which may be a clutch pressure plate and a flywheel, have annular friction surfaces which can act upon the clutch disk. The annular friction surfaces comprise the friction surfaces of a plurality of friction segments which are arranged in a uniformly distributed manner so as to form a ring, wherein every friction segment is arranged so as to be axially flexible in a springing manner to a certain extent.

Friction clutch

A leaf spring arrangement, especially for connecting a pressure plate to a housing, comprises a plurality of adjacent leaf spring elements, where each leaf spring element has a first attachment area for establishing the connection the pressure plate, a second attachment area for establishing the connection to the housing, and a connecting area extending between the first attachment area and the second attachment area. At least certain areas of at least two of the leaf spring elements are spaced apart between their first attachment area and their second attachment area.

A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch includes a housing arrangement and a pressure plate arrangement, which is held by at least one leaf spring arrangement with freedom of axial movement relative to the housing arrangement. The at least one leaf spring arrangement is fixed by a first attachment area to a first fastening area of the pressure plate arrangement and by a second attachment area to a second fastening area of the housing arrangement. The end area of the first fastening area and/or the second fastening area curves away from the minimum of one leaf spring arrangement, this end area being located in the area along which the at least one leaf spring arrangement extends.
