A tool alignment device for mounting on a tool having a stop, especially on a drilling and/or countersinking tool having a single-piece tool shaft and a stop, for alignment of a drill hole and/or countersink to be introduced or for alignment of a finishing step in relation to a normal to the surface of a workpiece, comprising a main part and a through hole. Upon mechanical contact between the tool alignment device and the surface of the workpiece, a signaling device is actuated and emits alignment signal(s) during alignment in an alignment direction, and the stop of the tool can be accommodated in the main part, which comprises a guide device which establishes a connection between a stop sleeve of the stop and the tool alignment device such that the stop can be aligned in the alignment direction. The invention relates to a multi-blade solid carbide drill for cutting high-strength sandwich materials. The tool comprises a shaft section and an adjoining cutting part, into which a number of chip flutes that corresponds to the number of main blades is incorporated. In order to reinforce the curvature of the resulting chip, the chip flute of the drill comprises a chip flute rib in the region of the chip formation zone, said rib protruding from the chip flute surface and having a substantially wave-shaped cross-section (), and said rib dividing the chip flute into two sections, a first chip flute section () forming the cutting rake and a second chip flute () forming the chip flute runout.

The invention relates to a stop for arrangement on a drilling, milling or countersinking tool for machining a work piece, wherein the work piece has a surface, and wherein the drilling, milling or countersinking tool has a cutting section. The stop comprises a contact surface, wherein the contact surface is arranged such that once a predetermined machining depth in the work piece is reached, the contact surface is seated against the surface, at least in some sections. A connecting element is provided, wherein the connecting element is arranged between the contact surface and the cutting section. The connecting element is suited to prevent a relative movement between the contact surface and the surface.
