A constant velocity joint includes an outer part having a connecting portion and an opening portion and a plurality of axial grooves forming outer raceways, and an inner part having a plurality of axial grooves forming inner raceways. Each outer raceway and inner raceway form a raceway pair, a ball being disposed in each raceway pair. Each raceway pair defines a region in axial cross-section with respect to a groove longitudinal axis conceptually divided into four quadrants. The outer raceway is in the first and second quadrants and the inner raceway is in the third and fourth quadrants. With torque transmission in a first direction, the ball has two contact points in the first quadrant and/or two contact points in the third quadrant, and with torque transmission in a second direction, the ball has two contact points in the second quadrant and/or two contact points in the fourth quadrant.

Constant velocity joint

A modular high precision gear box arrangement includes first and second gear boxes. The first gear box has a first rotatable hollow wheel, a second fixed hollow wheel and at least one double planet having a first planet and a second planet arranged on a planet shaft. The first planet meshes with the first hollow wheel, the second planet meshes with the second hollow wheel, and the first hollow wheel is coupled with an output. The second gear box includes a fixed hollow wheel that is the second hollow wheel of the first gear box and at least one planet that is the second planet of the at least one double planet of the first gear box. The second gear box further includes an input for driving the planet shaft, wherein the input is arranged centrically or eccentrically to a central rotation axis of the gear box arrangement.

Modular high precision gear box arrangement

A planetary gear is disclosed that provides at least a first hollow wheel with a helical gearing and a second hollow wheel with a helical gearing are adapted to rotate in a first rotational direction and a second opposite rotational direction, and a first double planet having a first wheel with a helical gearing meshing with the helical gearing of the first hollow wheel and having a second wheel with a helical gearing meshing with the helical gearing of the second hollow wheel. The disclosed configuration minimizes backlash between the helical gearings.

Planetary gear without backlash

A rolling-element bearing transmission includes a rotor configured to rotate a shaft relative to a stator and a rotatable output ring that includes a first rolled-on surface element. The shaft includes at least one second rolled-on surface element, and the stator includes a third rolled-on surface element. First and second pluralities of rolling elements are located between the shaft and the stator and between the shaft and the output ring. Also, a transmission mechanism transmits a rotary motion of the shaft to the output ring with a speed reduction such that the output ring rotates at a lower speed than the shaft.

Rolling-element bearing transmission

A transmission assembly includes a sun gear including an outer set of gear teeth, a planet carrier disposed around the sun gear, and a ring gear surrounding the planet carrier and the sun gear and including an inner set of gear teeth. At least one double planet is attached to the planet carrier. The double planet includes a first set of gear teeth and a second set of gear teeth, the outer set of gear teeth of the sun gear meshes with the first set of gear teeth, and the second set of gear teeth meshes with the inner set of gear teeth of the ring gear.

Transmission assembly

A planetary transmission includes first and second ring gears and a double planet with first and second gears rotatably disposed about a common shaft and arranged such that the gear teeth of the first gear of the double planet engage into the gear teeth of the first ring gear, and the gear teeth of the second gear of the double planet engage into the gear teeth of the second ring gear. The first gear of the double planet is preloaded in a clockwise direction such that the gear teeth of the first gear of the double planet are in contact with the gear teeth of the first ring gear, and the second gear of the double planet is preloaded in a counterclockwise direction such that the gear teeth of the second gear of the double planet are in contact with the gear teeth of the second ring gear.

Planetary transmission

A bearing assembly for rotatably supporting a first carrier element on a second carrier element includes first and second parts, each having a through-bore, configured to rotate about a common axis, and a first fastener for attaching the first part to the first carrier element and a second fastener for attaching the second part to the second carrier element. The first and the second through-bores are aligned with each other, and the second fastener is configured to pass entirely through the first through-bore into the second through-bore and engage an interior of the second through-bore to fasten the second part to the second carrier element. The first fastener is too large to pass entirely through the first through-bore and is configured to engage an interior of the first through-bore to fasten the first part to the first carrier element.

Bearing assembly

A bearing having grease lubrication includes a first ring and a second ring. A plurality of screw holes axially extend through the first ring. A first axial end of the first ring is affixed to a housing by a plurality of screws extending from the housing into the respective screw holes. A first bore is defined in the first ring adjacent to a second axial end of the first ring. The first bore intersects and fluidly communicates with one of the screw holes such that grease is dischargeable therethrough.

Grease passage in flanged bearings

A part-bearing-ring of a rolling-element bearing includes first and second assembly bores on its end surface, and the second assembly bore has a larger diameter than the first assembly bore so that it can accommodate a securing sleeve. The second assembly bore may include an internal thread for attaching the securing sleeve. Also a bearing ring formed of two part-bearing-rings and a securing sleeve and a method of installing a bearing ring.

Part-bearing-ring, securing sleeve, rolling-element bearing, and mounting method

A bearing cage has an annular structure with a plurality of pockets defined therein. At least one first surface area of the annular structure is made from, or is coated with, a first material having lipophobic and/or oleophobic properties. A rolling-element bearing includes this bearing cage, a plurality of roller bodies respectively disposed in the pockets, and a lubricant that forms a contact angle of at least 90&#xb0; when disposed on the first material.
