A closure component of a tank of a motor vehicle for closing a filler neck gas- and fluid-tight, having a closure fastened to a flap, the flap being fastened to a vehicle body of the motor vehicle such that it is movable into an open or closed position, the closure including a seal, which causes the closure to close against the filler neck. The tank closure should be easy for a user to handle and have a relatively simple design and be economical to manufacture. This is achieved in that the seal is electromechanically or pneumatically adjustable with the aid of an actuator.

A device for an internal combustion engine for the combustion of a gasoline-based liquid fuel, having a tank, which is gas-conductively connected to the internal combustion engine with the aid of an exhaust gas line and a first shutoff valve, a hydrocarbon storage unit, which is gas-conductively disposed between the tank and the internal combustion engine with the aid of the exhaust gas line, for temporarily storing gaseous hydrocarbon contained in an exhaust gas escaping from the tank, and a hydrocarbon sensor, which is gas-conductively disposed between the tank and the internal combustion engine with the aid of the exhaust gas line, for measuring the hydrocarbon content in a purging air supplied to the internal combustion engine, the hydrocarbon storage unit being connectable to the free surroundings with the aid of a connecting line and a second shutoff valve.

Device for an internal combustion engine and method for operating the device

An actuating device for a movable part, in particular a cover of a vehicle body opening, including at least one actuator and at least one electromechanical switching element. The electromechanical switching element is changeable between a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the electromechanical switching element senses an actuation by the actuator and in the second mode, the electromechanical switching element releases the actuator such that the actuator can be moved toward the movable part. The electromechanical switching element has an electroactive polymer and/or a piezoelectric element.

Actuating device for a movable part

A valve for connecting and disconnecting two fluid ports, that has a valve member which is movable between an open position, where the ports are in fluid communication and a first closed position where the first and second ports are not in fluid communication can be used to alter the volume of a gas being confined in a reservoir being connected to the valve, if the valve member can be moved into a second closed position in which the valve remains closed and the volume of a chamber being in fluid communication with the reservoir is altered.
