A lithium battery cell having one or more protective layers between the anode current collector and a solid state separator. The protective layers prevent dendrite propagation through the battery cell and improve coulombic efficiency by reducing deleterious side reactions.

A galvanic element includes the following elements in the order listed: a current collector associated with an anode; the anode; an ion-conducting separator in the form of a continuous layer; a cathode; and a current collector associated with the cathode. The anode encompasses an ion-conducting support structure, and both the ion-conducting support structure and the separator encompasses an ion-conducting material. The ion-conducing support structure is porous.

A method is described for producing silicon particles, in particular for an anode material of a lithium cell. In order to improve the cycle stability of lithium cells and to minimize losses in capacitance, in particular, microorganisms are dispersed in at least one solvent in a method step a), the solvent including at least one silicon compound. In a method step b), the at least one solvent is then removed, and a residue remains. In method step c), the residue is then heated under a reducing atmosphere. In addition, the invention relates to corresponding silicon particles, and to a corresponding anode material including silicon particles, and to a lithium cell provided with such.

A fuel injection device includes a nozzle needle, an actuator for actuating the nozzle needle, a force sensor for detecting a force applied by the actuator, and a control unit which is connected to the force sensor. The subject matter of the present is a method for manufacturing an electrode for an electrochemical energy reservoir, in particular for a lithium-ion battery, encompassing the method steps of: a) furnishing a mixture of initial substances for formation of a lithium titanate; b) calcining the mixture of initial substances for formation of a lithium titanate; c) adding to the mixture of initial substances for formation of a lithium titanate, before and/or after calcination, a component encompassing sulfur and optionally lithium; and/or d) adding a pore former, before and/or after calcination, to the mixture of initial substances for formation of a lithium titanate; e) sintering the calcined product; and f) optionally removing the pore former from the calcined and optionally sintered product. Electrodes having a particularly defined pore structure can be generated with a method of this kind, thereby making possible particularly good capacity that is stable over the long term. A method for manufacturing a lithium titanate includes: a) calcinating a mixture of starting materials to form an iron-doped lithium titanate; and b) at least one of electrochemical insertion and chemical insertion of lithium into the iron-doped lithium titanate.
