An airbag arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an airbag, which can be unfolded by filling with a gas, and a sheathing, in which the airbag is arranged before and after filling. The airbag is provided and is to be arranged on the motor vehicle in such a way that, before filling, it is located in the region of a first end of the sheathing and/or a vehicle pillar of the motor vehicle and can be unfolded by filling inside the sheathing and along at least one section of the vehicle pillar up to a second end of the sheathing and/or the vehicle pillar. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle having such an airbag arrangement.

Airbag assembly for a motor vehicle

A gas bag arrangement for a motor vehicle is provided. The gas bag arrangement contains a gas bag which can be deployed for the protection of a person present outside the motor vehicle along at least a section of the outside of the windshield or another portion of an outside of the motor vehicle, at least one pressure reducing device for reducing the internal pressure at least of a partial region of the at least partly inflated gas bag, and a means for moving at least a section of the at least partly inflated gas bag out of the field of view of a vehicle occupant of the vehicle.

Gas bag arrangement for a motor vehicle

A pressurized fluid-powered actuator includes a housing and a striker movably coupled to the housing. Resilient sealing means are positioned between the striker and the housing. The sealing means are compressible so as to seal an end of the housing responsive to a force exerted on the sealing means by the striker in a first direction toward the housing. Releasable retaining means are operatively coupled to the striker and are structured to prevent motion of the striker in a second direction opposite the first direction prior to activation of the actuator, and responsive to a reaction force in the second direction exerted on the striker by the sealing means when the sealing means is compressed.

A gas bag arrangement for a motor vehicle is provided. The gas bag comprises a gas bag which can be deployed for the protection of a person present outside the vehicle along at least a section of the front window and/or another portion of an outside of the motor vehicle and a housing in which the gas bag is arranged, wherein the housing is different from a cover of a receiving region of the motor vehicle extending before the front window. The housing is designed such that it at least partly covers the gas bag towards the cover of the motor vehicle-based on the condition of the gas bag arrangement mounted in the vehicle.

Gas bag arrangements for a motor vehicle

An airbag module for a motor vehicle is provided. The airbag module comprising a first subassembly which may be arranged on a motor vehicle, an airbag of the first subassembly which may be inflated for protecting a person, which comprises an interior which may be filled with gas for inflating the airbag, a housing of the first subassembly, for receiving the airbag, a gas generator of the first subassembly for inflating the airbag with gas, an additional second subassembly and a reservoir of the second subassembly (for storing a coolant which is designed and provided for cooling gases located in the interior of the airbag. The additional second subassembly is separate from the first subassembly and is designed and provided to be arranged at a distance from the first subassembly on the motor vehicle.

Airbag module for motor vehicle

An airbag module including an airbag that is inflated to cushion a vehicle occupant in the event of a collision. The airbag includes an inner chamber enclosed by an inner covering and a plurality of outer chambers that are arranged outside the inner chamber. The inner chamber forms an inner region of the airbag when inflated and the outer chambers at least partially surround the inner chamber when inflated. The outer chambers are in fluid communication with the inner chamber. At least some of the outer chambers are each enclosed by an outer covering having a covering section opposite the inner covering that does not delimit the inner chamber. The covering sections are at least partially spaced apart from the inner covering so that at least one clearance not filled with gas when the airbag is inflated is formed between the inner covering and the opposing covering sections.

Airbag

An airbag module includes an airbag with two sections that can be inflated to restrain a vehicle occupant. The inflated airbag defines a gap separating the two sections from each other on a front side of the airbag facing the vehicle occupant. A maximum distance between the airbag sections is dependent on a degree the airbag is filled with the distance decreasing as the airbag is filled. The airbag module also includes a strap at least partially fastened to an outer skin of the airbag. The strap includes at least a first and a second section of variable length. The length of the first section increases or decreases to the extent the length of the second section decreases or increases. The length of the second section defines the maximum distance between the airbag sections.

Airbag module

The invention relates to a system for deviating part of an external panel of a motor vehicle, during an accident to reduce the impact energy of a person colliding with deviated part of the external panel. The part is displaced in a deviation direction that is opposite to that of an impact direction of the person. The system includes a device for deviating the part. The device is engaged at least at one point on the part and permits a displacement of the part in the impact direction, if a person collides with the part.

System for deviating part of the external paneling of a motor vehicle

A hinge for connecting a hood, especially an engine hood, to a vehicle body, having a least one hinge carrier arranged on the vehicle body, at least one hinge arm arranged on the hood and at least one connecting part for the pivotable connection of the hinge arm to the hinge carrier. The connection of the hinge arm to the hinge carrier is released in the event of an accident by removal and/or destruction of the connecting part. The connecting part is configured to be removed and/or destroyed by forces acting in a direction of a pivot axis of the hinge, in the event of an accident.
