The disclosure refers to a road construction machine, adapted in particular in the form of a road paver or a feeder vehicle for a road paver. According to the disclosure, the road construction machine comprises a first and/or a second air barrier device adapted to shield a driver and/or an operator of the road construction machine. Furthermore, the disclosure refers to a corresponding method for generating an air flow during operation of a road construction machine in order to shield a driver and/or an operator from vapors and/or aerosols rising during operation of the road construction machine.

The disclosure refers to a container for storing and providing at least one modular road paver assembly designed for detachable mounting on a road paver. The container comprises a storage system by means of which individual components of the road paver assembly can be positioned within the container in a standardized arrangement, such that the components of the road paver assembly can be checked for completeness by an operator by means of a visual inspection along a sequence determined between opposite boundaries of the container in view of their assembly sequence on the road paver.

A road paver includes a paving screed adjustable in height for installing a road surface layer and at least one holding device for carrying and positioning of at least one sensor unit. The holding device has at least one swivel arm module for fastening the holding device on the road paver, at least one carrier arm module and at least one sensor module comprising the sensor unit. The carrier arm module is fastened by a first clamping device on the swivel arm module and the sensor module is fastened by a second clamping device on the carrier arm module, wherein the first and the second clamping device are formed respectively for a predetermined clamping force when the respective clamping devices are in a closed position.

A road paver with a height-adjustable screed for installing a pavement layer and at least one support device for carrying and positioning at least one sensor unit is provided. The support device comprises a center bar, at least one extension bar for the center bar, and at least one attachment unit which detachably attaches the extension bar at one end of the center bar. The center bar and the extension bar are by way of the attachment unit relative to one another&#x2014;when viewed in the vertical projection plane&#x2014;at a first mounting angle connectable to one another, and the center bar and the extension bar are by way of the attachment unit connectable to one another&#x2014;when viewed in the vertical projection plane&#x2014;at at least one further mounting angle.

A construction machine according to the disclosure comprises a primary drive configured to generate waste heat and one or a plurality of machine components, the machine components being arranged in the area of the primary drive of the construction machine. A road finisher includes an operator's seat arranged on a seat console. The seat console is adjustable on an operator's stand platform between different, locked working positions, namely by means of a locking device with a lock bolt which is shiftable between a disengaged position and an engaged position relative to at least one bolt receptacle. A road finishing machine includes a control panel that can be selectively swiveled about a first swivel axis and a second swivel axis, where one operational control each is provided for the first and the second swivel axes for separately unlocking and/or locking a swiveling capacity around the respective swivel axis. One counter surface is fixed to the control panel for each of the operational controls. The swivel axes can be unlocked by pulling the respective operational control in the direction of the respective counter surface, and the control panel can be swiveled into the same direction.
