There is disclosed a heat-transferring device comprising a buffer tank (), a reactor vessel () in thermal contact with the buffer tank, wherein an active substance is held inside the reactor vessel, a burner (A), a reactor heating loop adapted to transfer heat from the burner to the active substance in the reactor vessel, a reactor cooling loop adapted to transfer heat from the active substance in the reactor vessel to the buffer tank, a volatile liquid reservoir () in fluid contact with the reactor vessel, an evaporator () in fluid contact with the volatile liquid reservoir, a volatile liquid in the volatile liquid reservoir, with the ability to be absorbed by the active substance at a first temperature and desorbed by the active substance at a higher temperature, an exhaust gas pipe () from the burner to the volatile liquid reservoir to heat it.

Ice maker comprising a mould () forming at a number of mould cavities () for receiving water and forming a respective piece of ice (), which number of mould cavities are arranged in at least one column defining a longitudinal direction; a first () and a second shaft (); an endless conveyor (), which is arranged to convey the mould in the longitudinal direction around at least the first shaft; and drive means () connected to at least one of the first and second shafts for driving the conveyor. The mould () is formed of an elastic material and arranged to be elastically deformed as the mould passes over the first shaft (). Ice maker and method of producing pieces of ice

Absorption refrigerator comprising; a cabinet having outer walls () and at least one door () which together encase at least one storage compartment () and which comprise a heat insulation material (); and an absorption refrigerating system comprising a boiler (), a water separator (), a condenser (), an evaporator () and an absorber (), wherein said boiler, water separator, condenser and absorber are arranged outside said storage compartment. A channel () having an inlet () and an outlet () for conducting air through said channel is formed in an insulation () material comprised in one () of said outer walls. A ventilator () arranged to create a forced airflow in said channel. At least one of said absorber, condenser and water separator is arranged between said inlet and outlet in said channel.

Absorption refrigerator

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for defrosting an absorption refrigerator comprising the steps of determining a defrost start time for defrosting of the low temperature compartment and higher temperature compartment, starting the absorption refrigerating system at the defrost start time independent of other control parameters determining start and stop of the absorption refrigerating system, detecting stop of the absorption refrigerating system, applying heat to the first tube section using the first heater, detecting end of low temperature compartment defrosting, starting the absorption refrigerating system after end of low temperature compartment defrosting, and applying heat to the second tube section using the second heater.

Defrosting

The present invention relates to an absorption refrigerator including a cabinet having outer walls and at least one door encasing a low temperature storage compartment and a higher temperature storage compartment, said compartments being separated by a partition wall, an absorption refrigerating system including an evaporator tube in which a refrigeration medium flows from an upstream end to a downstream end of the evaporator tube, and which evaporator tube comprises a first tube section which is arranged to absorb heat from the low temperature compartment, and at least a second tube section, which is arranged to absorb heat from the higher temperature compartment, a battery arranged to supply power to electronic equipment in said absorption refrigerating system, a control system arranged to control start and stop of said absorption refrigerating system to control the temperature in at least said higher temperature storage compartment to be within a specified temperature range, and a heater arranged in said higher temperature storage compartment provided to apply heat to said higher temperature compartment. The refrigerator is characterized in that said control system comprises a sensor arranged to detect if said battery is currently charged or if AC-power is available, and that said control system is arranged to set freezer control values to a first set of freezer control values if said battery is charged or if AC-power is available and to a second set of freezer control values if said battery is not charged or if AC-power is not available, where at least one of the values in said second set of freezer control values is higher than both values in said first set of freezer control values.
