A pant-type absorbent article including a first body panel having a body facing side and a garment facing side and a second body panel having a body facing side and a garment facing side, the body facing sides of first and second body panels are held together in a face-to-face relationship along lateral edges to form side connections. The article further including a first fastening member hingedly attached to or near a lateral edge of the body facing side of the first body panel and having a portion which is unattached to said first body panel, said portion is refastenably attached to a complementary second fastening member provided on the body facing side of the second body panel. A recess forming a finger grip may be provided in the lateral edge of the first body panel.

An absorbent article includes at least one elastic area. The article contains an element for checking the elongation of the elastic area, in conjunction with which a first indicator marker is connected to the elastic area and a second indicator marker is connected to a second piece of material. The first indicator marker and the second indicator marker are capable of displacement relative to one another in the direction of elongation of the elastic area, whereby the change in the relative position between the first and the second indicator marker in conjunction with the elongation of the elastic area from a non-elongated position provides a measure of the elongation of the elastic area.

An elasticized web has a gatherable substrate and a multi-strand elastic yarn affixed to the gatherable substrate at a plurality of fixation locations. So that the yarn can be affixed to the substrate without the use of an adhesive, the yarn is subjected to forces to create partial delamination of the yarn at the fixation locations and a portion of the gatherable substrate is caused to pass between the thus delaminated strands of the multi-strand elastic yarn. The elasticized web of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in disposable absorbent articles.

A hygiene tissue is used for both cleaning and transferring lactic acid producing bacteria to the skin and urogenital area. The hygiene tissue contains, on separate parts of the tissue, cleaning liquid and a bacterial composition. Bacterial viability and transfer ability is maintained by suspending the bacteria in a lipid which protects the bacteria from moisture. The lipid also enhances transfer of the bacteria from the tissue to the skin or urogenital area. Different designs of the hygiene tissue prevent the mixing of the cleaning liquid and the bacterial composition.

The belt comprises firstand second&#x2032; belt halves which at one of their ends are permanently attached to the topsheet within bonding areas&#x2032; of the insides&#x2032; in such a way that the belt halves&#x2032; remain substantially flat along their entire length when brought against the topsheet on top of each other, and in such a way that joints&#x2032; which are formed at the bonding areas will be pressed outwards in directions away from the user when the absorbent article is used.

An absorbent product includes a backsheet, a topsheet and an absorbent core structure located therebetween, the core including a topsheet-facing surface which is fixedly attached to the topsheet. A low friction zone is arranged between the topsheet and the topsheet-facing surface in an area where said topsheet is not attached to the topsheet-facing surface, or a sheet is secured at a portion of its periphery to the topsheet and the low friction zone is placed above the topsheet. These arrangements alleviate skin damage.
