The invention relates to a disc shaped filter element for filtering a liquid such as a polymer. The filter element comprising&#x2014;a hub, said hub defining a central opening therethrough, &#x2014;an upper filter medium and a lower filter medium, said upper filter medium and said lower filter medium extending radially outwards from said hub. The upper filter medium and the lower filter medium comprise a layered structure comprising a first layer and a second layer. The first layer comprises a non-sintered metal fiber fleece and the second layer comprises a layer of non-sintered metal powder particles. The first layer and the second layer are sintered together.

Selective catalytic reduction tank with heating element

The invention describes a tank comprising a water or solvent based solution, dispersion or emulsion. The tank comprises an electrical resistance heating element immersed in the solution, dispersion or emulsion. The electrical heating element is provided in the tank with an electrical current. The electrical resistance heating elements comprises a textile fabric and at least one electrical heating wire. The electrical heating wire is fixed onto the textile fabric and the electrical heating wire comprises metal filaments or metal fibers.

The invention relates to diesel soot particulate filter cartridge having a central filter cartridge axis. The filter cartridge has a radial flow. The filter cartridge comprises a porous structure. The porous structure is coiled around the central filter cartridge axis. The porous structure comprises non-sintered metal fibers, said fibers having a roughness being higher than 1.7. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a diesel soot particulate filter cartridge. Furthermore the invention relates to a multicartridge diesel soot particulate filter. The flow through the multicartridge diesel soot particulate filter is axial while the flow through the filter cartridges is radial.

A filter medium () having an inflow side () and an outflow side () defining a flow direction (). The filter medium comprises at least n consecutive layers Lx of fiber media, x varying from 1 to n, n being more than or equal to 2. L() is the layer of the n consecutive layers closest to the inflow side of the filter medium and Ln () is the layer of the n consecutive layers closest to the -outflow side of the filter medium. For all layers Lx of the at least n consecutive layers, the ratio Hx/(kx*Ax) is substantially identical, wherein Hx is the average thickness of the layer Lx in flow direction, Ax is the average surface area of cross sections according to planes perpendicular to the flow direction, and kx is the permeability coefficient of this layer Lx. The fiber media of at least part of the layers of the filter medium comprises metal fibers.
