A portable computing device includes a display unit and a base unit coupled via a hinge such that a surface of the display unit is parallel to a surface of the display unit when the portable computing device is manipulated into a folded position. The display unit includes a display panel and a radiating element of an antenna, the radiating element disposed at an end of the display unit that is distal to the hinge. The base unit includes a metal base chassis, the metal base chassis defining a keep out aperture at a distal end of the base unit that is substantially devoid of metal material from the metal base chassis. The keep out aperture is axially displaced from a position of the radiating element when the portable computing device is manipulated into the folded position.

In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, an information handling system is provided. The information handling system may include a processor; a display coupled to the processor, the display comprising a pixel clock source configured to generate a pixel clock frequency; a memory device coupled to the processor, the memory device having a lookup table stored thereon; and a controller coupled to the processor and configured for: receiving frequency information associated with wireless transmissions of the information handling system; and dynamically adjusting the pixel clock frequency by selecting a frequency from the lookup table in response to a determination that the received frequency information is approximately equal to the pixel clock frequency.

Systems and methods for managing dynamic clock operations during wireless transmissions

A method of setting a pixel clock frequency for a display of an information handling system (IHS) is disclosed whereby the method includes detecting an identifier associated with a wireless card operable for use with the IHS. The method also includes selecting a timing descriptor, the timing descriptor associated with a display setting and wherein the timing descriptor corresponds to the identifier. The method further includes setting the pixel clock frequency based on the timing descriptor selected.
